When you work in Mt. Home only 2 or 3 days a week and your truck is full of pink boxes (those are so rad!!!) you know you're a fan of this amazing place. I studied abroad in France and have traveled throughout Quebec (the other France) so I'm addicted to good laminated pastries. That said, since living back in Arkansas for 7 years now I have yet to find a patisserie that does it well. Look no further than this humble little shop off the main square in Mt. Home, AR!!!!
Rachel, the owner/operator, is a truly gifted baker. The quality of her pastries is only matched by her incredible creativity- on a recent visit here I had jalapeño popper filled croissants, mocha chocolate croissants, almond croissants, and she is the only patisserie in the area that makes my favorite pastry, Kouignn Amann, and she fills them with amazing stuff like blueberry/lemon, raspberry, blackberry, etc. Every time I am in the area for work I stop by during the mornings. Rachel and her staff are some of the most inviting and friendly people you'll ever meet. They even remember your name after one visit. Unlike many pretentious bakers, Rachel is happy to talk shop with her patrons, which speak tons about her character.
If you're looking for a unique place to experience excellent food and service this is the place. It is not to be missed.

This place is a “must have” experience in Mountain Home. Upon stepping in the door you are greeted by the smell of absolute deliciousness. I’ve tried several things (lemon croissants, macaroons, apple pie pastry, chocolate mocha croissants, and more!) and all of them were excellent five-star quality. This place is so good, I’ve purchased a custom-selected box of pastries multiple times as a gift for an individual or for the office. If you haven’t been, don’t delay. You’re missing out on one of the jewels of this town!
