Everything was amazing. The staff was so kind. We were never left starving either. The winter dip was amazing with the pretzel bread and the crunchy cheese crust of the dip. The Cesar salad was soft and crunchy. The sauce was garlicky but I LOVE GARLIC. I had the steak with potatoes and it’s the best steak I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. They perfectly cooked it to exactly right and it melts in your mouth. And what I liked was that the food wasn’t hot, it was warm. It wasn’t unbearable, I didn’t have to wait to eat it. It was ready the second it came out. The beef stroganoff was the best I’ve ever had. It was creamy and full of flavor. Fiona was amazing. She made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. She always left me laughing with her jokes and we love her penguin she gave us. Definitely made our night. When we come back it would be because of the food and the service! This place is so good! We found it as we were passing through town and it was the highlight of our entire trip! The food is well prepared, thoughtful and the flavors were beautifully balanced. The service was immaculate (Mariah? A gem) we are already trying to figure out how to drive through Dubuque again for that winter dip haha! It is one of the most romantic places in Dubuque, with a menu that changes seasonally. The Ceaser salad is particularly delicious, especially if you like garlic 😋. To start off I'm am usually a meat and potatoes nothing fancy kind of guy so I was expecting this place to be a little to much for me but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the beef tenderloin and it was wonderful. There was nothing weird was on it, the butter was great (easy to scrap off and use in the potatoes), and reasonable priced. Good job pepper sprout. This place is amazing! I had a reservation for 35 people, and the chef and waiters/waitresses were on point with their service! Food and drink orders came out quick, everyone kept their drinks topped off, and the quality and taste of everything was phenomenal! I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're looking for a nice night out or a great place to hold a friendly gathering.
