My visit to Patio Canario La Laguna was a mixed experience. The inside seating area left much to be desired as it had a strong and unpleasant odor, making it impossible for me to stay for more than a few minutes. The outside area, while better in terms of smell, was quite windy due to the open doors in an attempt to ventilate the indoor space. This created a challenging environment for dining. Additionally, the overall ambiance was rather dark. On the positive side, the staff was helpful and proficient in English, which was a relief for non-Spanish-speaking visitors. The food itself was hearty and flavorful. We ordered rabbit with Canarian sauce, sausages, chickpeas, and mushrooms. The dishes were quite heavy and heavily seasoned with salt, which might not suit everyone's taste. The mushrooms, though, seemed to be more about the cheese and bacon toppings rather than the mushroom itself, which was somewhat disappointing. The sausage was okay, and the chickpeas, while really tasty, surprised me with the inclusion of meat; I had expected a vegetarian option. The rabbit dish, with the addition of Canarian potatoes, was a standout and delicious. One remarkable aspect of Patio Canario La Laguna is the affordability of the food, with surprisingly low prices. The coffee, priced at 1.5€, was a pleasant surprise, given the overall cost-effectiveness. In conclusion, if you can overlook the issues with the indoor area, Patio Canario La Laguna offers reasonably priced, hearty Canarian dishes with friendly and English-speaking staff. However, it's not without its quirks and might benefit from some improvements in ambiance and menu clarity. Ahhh, how I am going to miss the food from there! It was delicious! The staff, maybe not speaking fluent English, was super attentive and kind!
