The best part of my experience here was the service. The staff was friendly, I was greeted and given a table quickly. The rest did not leave a passable first impression. I received chips and salsa, the chips were terrible. Thick unseasoned tortillas that seemed stale. I've never disliked chips before, I didn't even know I could. Upon receiving my combo plate, beans were good. The chili relleno was the best part. The taco does need help. It was served greasy and seemingly unseasoned. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the al pastor was just bad- both in flavor and texture; it had no sweetness and was fatty and rubbery and it seemed they had compensated by cutting it extra thin, but this did not help. I did really like their salsa, and the server was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It’s a shame they would use such low-quality pork when otherwise it could have been a good experience.
