We visited for the first time tonight and the food was great! Our waiter, Brandon C. was phenomenal! The only negative thing was that we had to wait at least 5 mins for the hostess to show up! There was a couple waiting in front of us & a large party waiting behind us at the host stand. Other than that, everything was perfect. Folks took my Daughter out to Otto Izakaya for her birthday dinner and she was very happy with the dinner 😁 Now I'm going to say it was crowded but the staff and service were good as expected especially being so busy.Now the food was something else maybe because they were so busy 👍If you haven't gotten by please do yourself and family a favor. This is hands down the best joint to get sushi downtown Greenville. Lots of delicious rolls (we ordered two boats full 🤣) and nigiri. Definitely try the J.J. roll!! It’s our favorite. We actually ordered the JJ and ended up ordering it again for round two after we finished the boats. Shoulda taken a picture of our meal before we devoured it but the best I have is a screenshot from a video I took that night. The JJ roll is the roll closest to the bottom of the picture. We tried the squid appetizer and the edamame, which were tossed in a light soy sauce and we opted to have Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. sounds like a weird combo but ‘twas really freaking good. And the dol sot bibimbap!! It’s a well known Korean rice dish with mixed veggies and beef that comes in a sizzling hot stone bowl. Make sure you let some the rice sit and cook in the hot bowl after you mix. Then you get this incredibly crunchy yummy rice after. No dress code. Dining seating available as well as a bar area. TVs inside the restaurant. We felt that prices were very fair. No need to pay a million dollars for an amazing sushi dinner. Bring the whole fam and get the same high quality here! Food was superb, but the service was lacking. I went 10-15 minutes after they opened and it was empty save for two other guests. The host took a few minutes to decide where to seat me. My appetizer and salad plates along with the menus were never cleared from the table. I was never offered a drink refill (empty from my appetizer forward) despite the server happily socializing with the other servers and kitchen staff.
