An Absolute Gem of a find in the MO City area. My co-worker and I went in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful colors of the interior design to the cutlery that was offered. This small but vibrant little spot left no guess if they put in a great deal of thought to their customer's comfort and welcoming vibe.
I had the Oliver's breakfast, which was very basic in design, yet one could tell the quality of the ingredients. I used to be a culinary trainer, and I could easily tell the quality of the hand cut bacon, the temperature controlled grits, which were recommended and rightfully so, and the fluffliness of the biscuit. Even the eggs were made with the correct amount of sea salt preparation. Even the preserves may have been homemade as it was not even sweet, just a great topping to the buttery biscuit.
An Absolute treat on a Wednesday that I look forward to trying again soon. Not to mention the wall of their namesake; this little place quickly gets your appreciation as a consumer.

Cheese Grits
My first trip to Oliver's gourmet brightened my mood and warmed my tummy. After a hectic morning in traffic dropping two kids off at separate schools, I breathe the sigh of relief to walk into this beautiful well-appointed clean restaurant playing smooth jazz at just the right volume. I was greeted by the owner at the counter who had the perfect suggestion for my slow delicious breakfast. "The Oliver" is the way to go if you're not in a hurry with two eggs any style bacon or sausage grits or potatoes and a side of toast or biscuit you can have a true Southern breakfast just the way you like it. The biscuit was the star of this meal. Or rather the salty, short-crust, buttery pillow of goodness had just the right amount of crunch around the edges and was the perfect first bite. I will certainly be back to sample their lunch and look forward to date night to enjoy their Friday/Saturday only dinner offerings. A real MoCity gem. 💎🤤

My first time here and expectations were blown out of the water. My church friends surprised me for a birthday lunch. All four of us loved every bite. The service was top knotch. The owner was very hands on, incredibly kind and gave our desert a special birthday touch. Absolutely charmed by this delightful restaurant! The BLT was a symphony of flavors, and my husband's Reuben was a culinary masterpiece. The house cappuccino? A perfect pick-me-up. The warm potato salad stole my heart. Beyond its cuteness, the cleanliness of the place is top-notch. A definite five-star experience – can't wait to return.

Lobster Bisque
First time eating here and I absolutely love it! If I could give 10 stars for the Food and Service I would! We had the cinnamon french toast and breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! Our service was top notch too! Scott took our orders and was very courteous. We will definitely be repeat customers
