Once the promenade around the The Historic Occidental Hotel Museum is over, visit Occidental Saloon. To taste nicely cooked bison burgers, bison meat and ox is a really good idea. Try good cinnamon rolls and tasty pancakes. You will be offered delicious whiskey, draft beer or Moscow mule. Great coffee is the most popular drinks of this bar. Live music is performed by musicians in the evening. The courteous staff welcomes guests all year round. The fine service is a big plus of Occidental Saloon. Prices are found attractive here. There is a lovely atmosphere and nice decor at this place. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.3.

What a gem. We stumbled in here for a bite to eat on our way through and had excellent food with fantastic live music, compliments of David Stewart. The bison burger was simple perfection and my partner loved his chicken fried steak. The place itself is a smorgasbord for the eyes, with old photos and fun taxidermy all around. The stars I did give are for the history and atmosphere. It is worth a stop in to look at the location. It appears as though locals get good service here. Food was ok. I would have had another drink but after we received our food we were not even looked at until we were done. My family walked down the street and I sat there for 15mins waiting for the bill (it was not even very busy at the time). Also, a little surprised to see dogs wandering around inside the restaurant (not service dogs). so it is pet friendly. If your looking for dogs to join you for dinner that part may be completely fine... just mentioning it incase you are allergic or prefer eating without animals. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Didn’t get to taste their food. The waitress and bartender ignored our party of 8 ( the restaurant wasn’t full either) and we left after AN HOUR of being polite and waiting . Waited an hour. Didn’t get served , menus , checked on - nothing.
