Wow wow wow… where to begin? I’ll start with the incredible service. Evertime we come in we are instantly greeted with bright smiles. The servers are always spectacular and continue a great vibe the entire evening. In addition to the great service, the food is absolutely stunning. The portions are heaping and always seasoned to perfection. We always have to get an order of the chicken and waffles with their SUPER crispy sweet potato fries. The burnt ends with plantains are also a must try! I highly recommend checking this spot out. Best BBQ in all of NEO. Thank you so much Oak and Embers!!!

Seriously a waste of our time today. We pulled in and thought maybe they weren't open at 1230pm because the parking lot was empty. That should have been our tip to turn around and find somewhere else to eat. We were seated and it took awhile for someone to come over even though there were only a couple tables occupied. We ordered an appetizer and then didn't see the waitress again for a long time. The pulled pork nachos were cold when we finally got them. We ate them and didn't say anything. The food finally comes after another hour of waiting. My entire platter was cold. The pulled pork had to have been cooked the previous day and reheated. It was so hard you could barely chew it. I told the waitress and said she could take it away and I didn't want to try again. I knew we'd be there for another hour waiting on terrible food. My husband's food was cold and my child's sliders were cold as well. For the prices they charge, they should be embarrassed to serve food like that to their customers. And the servers need some extra training or something to be a little more attentive. To top it all off, the bathrooms were out of soap and paper towels and there was an exposed portable heater plugged in right next to the sink. Not too bright to be right by the water and where a child could stick their hand into the heater. We will not be back after giving this place multiple chances. Steer clear and find a real BBQ place to spend your money at!

Double check your bill - My meal was charged more than the price on the menu (which I asked about, but was not adjusted) and included a 20% tip above the line that I did not notice ( I was focused on the over charged food I guess), PLUS I added a nice tip below the line. (Dark room) Sure hope the wait staff gets both tips!

Nice atmosphere, terrible food, everything was cold. Place was absolutely dead but still took almost an hour to get food. If you want actual BBQ go to double R in Ravenna.
Edit: Not sure what the manager/owner wants with their feedback request. My review is pretty self explanatory. Food was all cold. $18 for store bought nachos with BBQ sauce and little to no queso and cold "pulled" pork is criminal. I suspect that all of their meat is smoked on certain days then refrigerated/frozen for use throughout the week. That is the only explanation for why the pulled pork was cold. After eating the nachos, my wife then ordered the pulled pork platter with their smashed potatoes and green beans. All cold. The entire plate of food was cold. I use the term pulled very loosely when describing the pork because it was anything but. Huge chunks of hard cold "pulled" pork is what she got. Both sides were fridge cold. So to the manager/owner requesting feedback... Cook your food, or maybe leave it in the microwave longer.
I initially reviewed this place 6 yrs ago and gave it 5 stars. Now I will advise everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.
Word of advice for anyone who enjoys BBQ from a BBQ lover: be very skeptical of a BBQ place that puts sauce on their meats instead of letting the consumer sauce the meat.

ASK FOR SOPHIE!! She took such great care of my girlfriend and I for her birthday dinner🎉 four stars on the food as the first time it came out wasn’t quite right but Sophie was so kind in sending it back for us and was exceptionally understanding with us!!! Will be back soon because of her service!! Also 10/10 recommendation on the queso, DELICIOUS 😋
