I would have rated this higher but the service is unacceptable. I've been there a few times & have never had to wait over 10-15 minutes for my order until last night. Last night I don't know if it was a new worker but she needs to be trained better. She made drinks out of order to where somehow the first order was the last one served. You would think every one is aware that you make drinks in order of being ordered. Not only did the worker last night wave off help she also took 40 minutes to make 3 drinks. I've been there before and ordered the same order plus an extra drink & it only took 15 minutes. No coffee trip is worth a 40 minute wait.

The Boardgamery gives options in Granite that are not abundant elsewhere. It's nice to sit here, have a cup of coffee, browse the games, or step next door and browse the books and vinyl they have available there. If you're looking for something with a little more sustenance, downtown Diner is really a flashback to the past. Great diner food, quick and easy service as well.

Awesome new place that you must see in town for a game night with the family, it’s in downtown part of Granite City directly next door to the Garden Gate Tea Room, and directly next to the City Hall in a Very up and coming part of town where you can park and take pictures at the picture wall (Black Painted side of building- with angel wings, butterfly wings, and balloons and so much more to take Selfies with on the side of the building at the huge Selfie Wall!
It’s truly a blessing and nice corner of the town for a night in town with the kids or entertaining friends or family in from out of town, so that you don’t have to go to far; nor out of town!!

It's so wonderful having the Garden Gate Tea Room back. The food is excellent as always with new wonderful items added to the menu. Such a great gift and destination for Granite!
