I loved Chatime and had hoped that Niko Niko would be the same, but unfortunately it isn’t.
Their only options for sweetness levels are 100%, 50%, 25%, and 0%. I ordered 50% and it wasn’t sweet enough, but 100% would be too sweet.
At Chatime I would get 80% and it was perfect - I wish there was at least a 75% option. I was also disappointed to see that these drinks came with ice as it makes the drink watery and hard to get the remaining boba out of the bottom. This also means you get less drink. Chatime came without ice, and the drink was chilled.
Overall I’m pretty disappointed in the change and am going to find another boba spot from now on.

I went to Chatime, in the town of Southdale, mall, and as usual, to buy one of my favorite teas but with poor preparation, the coconut milk is bad, he didn't have time cooking in hot water? and as a result the milk is curdled and does not dissolve well in the hot water,
and the bad thing is that I do not fill my glass well either? Having said this, I told the girl who prepared it that she needed to fill it out and for which I had already paid $ apart, I have the right to complain because it is not cheap or free,
and the only thing I received was a very bad response and Terrible reaction because the employee looked at me and looked at the glass of my tea and said that's nothing? almost nothing and for something if? and she started laughing and kept looking at the glass that he needed to fill it and she turned around and started laughing at me again with his other partner? that was very unpleasant, humiliating and a great lack of respect, for me and for any of Your client,
I only expected and wanted to receive something well prepared and for what you had already paid? so what she? then she set out to remix the tea again and she only gave me half? in an unfilled glass? the tea with nothing of everything it contains, the pearls or any of the ingredients and I still almost almost threw the glass on the counter? without saying anything and she turned around again? and they kept laughing at me with another of her classmates???? It was a total disappointment, not just because of the customer service? if not for hiring untrained staff in this place, so popular, as is Chatime? what a disappointment? lousy staff with a low level of education bad treatment and racism to the client, knowing that thanks to the public they have a salary to collect $ ...

The taro milk tea is chunky and tastes like dish water. If someone complained about this 3 months ago maybe fix it????? Chunks of powder in the glass. Couldn’t even drink it.
Love that we have local options for bubble tea! Their menu has new flavors over time as well so there's usually something fresh to try. Don't forget there are double stamps on Tuesdays!

Don't live close enough to get bubble tea otherwise I would be here a little more often. Depends on who is working, normally get friendly service but there has been 2 or 3 visits that weren't very pleasant, attitude... But I figured they had a bad day and they barely put any popping bobas in the tea. Otherwise 5 star
For some reason I had so wait a lot to get my drink, a few people behind picked up their drinks first when I ordered one single drink … also I specified TAPIOCA… I left with a nasty drink with no tapioca, they charged extra for almond milk PLUS Tip. This nasty water needs to go back to the blender, I am chewing whatever is at the bottom. Never had a nasty tapioca drink before!!!!! NEVER AGAIN.

If you value your tastebuds DO NOT order the taro here. It is chunky, watery, and reminiscent of dish water clogging up a sink. Otherwise, their drinks are ok for the price, and it's at a convenient location at the mall. Still. Never make the mistake of getting the taro milk tea....ever.
I was very pleased with Chatime. I have never been to a Chatime before, in fact I haven't been to many places that sell bubble tea. I don't live in the Twin Cities and haven't found places around me where I can get either. Last summer Caribou sold bubble tea which was nice. Being my first time at Chatime I needed to have explained to me how it worked. The staff that was there was helpful and explained it to me.
I love Chatime! Love it! This location is no exception. If you want a recommendation, get a coconut milk tea with pearls and popping bobs (no extra sugar). It's delicious! A bubble tea from Chatime everyday would make each day a better one.
