This place was fantastic!!!!! We had a less than desirable experience and lack of service at another establishment in town, we made one call asking if they could accommodate a party of 8 on short notice. The answer I got was "Absolutely" Food was TOP NOTCH!, Service was first rate! They've hands down earned a repeat customer every time I/we are in town! We have been longtime customers of Moena Restaurant for well over a decade, but when current owners Rob and Laura took ownership, they quite simply elevated this fine establishment to an entirely different level. Nestled in the heart of Clearfield, Moena Restaurant offers more than simply remarkable food. Once you arrive and walk through the beautifully-finished wooden front door, you will be greeted to second-to-none hospitality. You will also be hard pressed to find another atmosphere as welcoming and inviting. We are regularly taken care of by Jackie, one of Moena Restaurant’s greatest assets, whom can be observed efficiently waiting tables like absolute clockwork, always smiling, never faltering. What Rob and Laura also bring to the table is their expertise in meticulously pairing the highest quality wines with the most flavorful foods, which certainly requires a special touch. Moena Restaurant also strives to source local ingredients whenever possible, and the difference in taste is noteworthy. From the appetizers to the main entrées, you will always receive the very most consistency in presentation and flavor profiles. When it comes time for dessert, you will be delighted to learn that these delectable desserts are made in-house from scratch. Simply put, the food is worth every single penny. We cannot recommend Moena Restaurant enough. Rob and Laura hold themselves to an extremely high standard and their entire team never disappoints. Every aspect of this fine dining experience has been perfected. That is why Moena Restaurant is held in such high regard and will always be a favorite to so many customers alike. Save your money. The photos drew me in. The atmosphere is clean, the servers and management are attentive. It goes steeply down hill from there. Seriously what happened? Every plate we ordered came out room temperature. Was that an issue with the timing between our server and the kitchen? We were there at 7:30 on a Saturday night (made reservations in advance) and there wasn't a lot of competition for our servers attention so it is curious why every single dish came out room temperature at best. I ordered the burger based on online reports and photos. It WAS AWFUL. I'm not an overly picky eater but this was BAD. It was cold, had a weird texture which I assume was due to it being a frozen patty. It wasn't jucy, hard, tasteless, no lettuce or tomato but some weird BBQ sauce. It was AWFUL. I didn't even take the 3/4 left over home. The fries were very good. My dinner friend ordered a pasta dish. I forget the name. It was horrible. Like a bowl of angle hair floating in a vegetable broth. He packed most of it in a to go box so to not hurt anyone's feelings but we purposely left the leftover box on the table. What a huge disappointment. It was our first and last time to visit. What a shame because online the place is so inviting. In person, save your hard earned money. Not worth it. We did appreciate the modern hand held devices that the servers used to input our order and the convenience the device offers to pay and go. Really SO SO disappointed the food temperature and taste was well below average. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of PA - we went to see Puxatony Phil and drove around town - it got pretty late and my kids were hungry- on the way back to our hotel in Harrisburg we found this restaurant- it was 8:20pm and they were closing at 9pm. My daughter went in and they told her they were still serving and we went in. So glad we did. The waitress Lori was the sweetest person we met today. She was polite, smiled and have a really good attitude- we felt like we were at her dinner table. Our meal was great. Fresh ingredients- seasoned well- cooked just right. We had a wonderful dinner, the ambience and music was just perfect. Please stop by if you are in the area, you will not regret coming here, wonderful people and great food. Compliment’s to Lori and the Chef. We will be back again. PS. Thanks for the tip about the Elks, we will be visiting soon. Service Dine in Price per person $100+
The food is always very good. Had something new spetzle, it was ok. The dessert was delicious earthquake cake. Service and atmosphere pleasant Will keep going back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
The Best Italian wedding soup I have ever had. They claim it is homemade, and I believe it. I'm including a picture of it. It has the meatballs AND shredded chicken breast, which only elevated it for me. Full of flavor, and you know that for me, Flavor is King! For dessert, they claim the owners mother makes them all from scratch. I've no reason to doubt. I ordered the lemon something pie. Closely resembles key lime pie, but lighter with a nice smooth lemon flavor and excellent Graham Crissy and not heavy at all .. very airy, in a good way! I enjoyed that. For entree I ordered the cucumber walleye salmon (about $21 as I recall). That was NOT enjoyable at all. I asked beforehand how they prepared it, and was told "medium / medium rare". I like it more on the medium rare side, but this was prepared fully medium if not medium well as it was very dry! That was very disappointing, so I didn't bother past two bites. Personally, I thought the cucumber was overkill .. that much cucumber would overpower the natural flavor of the salmon, had it been cooked properly (to my preference/ request that is). I ordered a side of their fresh pasta ($1 additional) because I prefer fresh if available, and two meatballs ($1.75 each) with their own marinara sauce. The pasta tasted fresh (good), the Meatballs were decent (not Wow, but good), the sauce was much on the sweet side, so definitely did not prefer that. So for a total of $21+$1+$1.75+$1.75=$25.50, they discounted $15, leaving my small side pasta dish at $10.50. I could've argued that is a bit much for a side pasta dish, but I didn't because I ate it and my waitress, Lori, was so very pleasant! To finish, I ordered another cup of soup to take with me, which I thoroughly enjoyed later in the evening! So, nice atmosphere, wonderful friendly waitress, appealing and diverse menu. I'd say, Try Some, but skip the salmon if you like a moist fish.
