I ordered the turkey sandwich, it was extremely moist, smoky,I had their new Broccoli Slaw and and the slaw was very, very good as was the turkey. I would absolutely have both again. The staff was very friendly, greeted us both on the way in as well as on the way out with a smile and a wave! Great people with a great mission. Food is very good, like real southern bbq. Would recommend to anybody who loves supporting the armed forces and first responders. Mac and Cheese is a must, as well as their secret burnt ends! We our not from the area, decided to try Mission Barbeque, we were welcomed by the staff with a smile and an explanation of the menu , they also checked on us and told us to let them know if we need anything! A touch pricey (which is why it loses a star for me), but generally good tasty meats and a nice variety of sauces to try with them. Often, I just do meats and a drink to keep the cost down. Updated Review - 10/28/23: We were shopping at Lowe’s down the street and thinking about where to eat dinner. Immediately we both said, “Mission BBQ”! We both love it! It was late and there weren’t many people there. There was no one in line in front of us…. Fast and friendly service! I had the Cheese and Jalapeño Sausage and my wife had the Smoked Chicken entree. Both of them were delicious! We also had the cornbread, baked cheesy potatoes, green beans, and baked beans. I will always recommend Mission BBQ!!! Thank you missions so much. I’m going to be honest we having a hard past year with my dad going through stage 4 cancer and he barley makes it out of the house anymore. We decided to come out and spend our money here knowing we might not be able to spend a bunch of extra money anymore but this place made it worth it. They didn’t have some food when we went to grab our order so they gladly gave us a refund, free sandwich coupons and gave us 2 free sandwiches for free right there as a replacement for the food they didn’t have. Gave us a free dessert too. And offered us free sides. Made my dads experience going out for the first time in a while worth it. The staff was so friendly and we are great full we decided to stop here for our time outside the house. Absolutely worth coming here and made our day. First time here today and yeah this place is fantastic. Very friendly employees great atmosphere and look to the place and the food...dam was it good. Very flavorful and delicious, the food doesn't even need sauce, and those fresh cut fries, wow so good. We came in super hungry and I really, really wanted to love the place. Very patriotic decor in and out. Self service. But the food was just ok: Brisket wet - somewhat bland. I didn't know what the carb count was in all the 6 different sauces on the table so I skipped them. Hubby said they were ok. Now here was something special - their NC vinegar was da bomb! This saved the meal. Baby back ribs 5 - we got 6 hehe thanks. Opposite of the brisket, this was too salty. I wish they could find a happy medium. Had a card for a free sandwich so the wife and I came here for take out. Ordered original sausage, brisket, spare ribs, baked beans, coleslaw, and cinnamon apple bake. The service was fast, I think we waited about 10 mins before receiving our order. The cashier was very courteous, and gave us everything we needed and more. He also made really good recommendations on sauces available. The food was really good, my favorite was the ribs, sausages, and cinnamon apple bake. The prices are reasonable, and the service was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for BBQ. Looking forward to my next visit.
