Clean, well staffed with professionals, and consistent in their menu selections. They keep the salad bar well stocked and tidy, and the lettuce is always fresh and crisp. Top notch restaurant in Rapid with a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices for high quality food. This is a very nice restaurant. If you want a nice quiet place to have a meal that is reasonably priced. I was surprised how clean it was being attached to a motel. I would give 5 stars across the board if they had more options to calory restricted diets. Otherwise, this place knocks it out of the park when it comes to setting a standard of proper treatment of customers. Awesome place! I definitely was skeptical since it was attached to a hotel, but the place was nice. The salad bar was awesome. I got the Potato Walleye. It was perfectly flavored and flaky, but it had some bones. The Butterscotch Marshmallow Bread Pudding was good. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I haven't reviewed in a while, and my visit last night to Minervas was just what I needed to get excited about local dining again. Normally, I hesitate when I see a restaurant located in a hotel. This was totally unjustified as it was one of the best experiences I've had in the region. Artichoke dip- perfectly chunky, walleye-criped to perfection, whiskey sirloin- beat all the other steakhouses in the area. Bread pudding- exceptionally soggy. We went to watch NCAA basketball and sat at the bar. The bartender was incredibly hospitable, and thankfully, the full menu was available. The tap selection is quite diverse as well. We went before the dinner crowd and was seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and very informative. The meal was excellent. My wife had the ranch burger / hold the bun. Hard one to judge fairly because I received my soup only a minute before my entree. As a slow eater this was a pretty big bummer because it meant I ate most of the meal cold. Still giving full stars because it seemed like an honest mistake and having been a server I know how hard it can be to manage timings of dishes when you switch from really busy to slow. Other service was great, the place was clean and put together, the food was incredibly good. Got some meat soup and the steak tips. Fantastic. Food was very good, atmosphere was nice, and service was good. Wait staff was a little slow but we did have a large group. I had the Honey Pepper Salmon which was cooked properly and very tasty. The green beans were not overcooked and the mashed potatoes had a great texture and were very good. To start, we had an Italian salad which was very good. I had the cheesecake with strawberry-rhubarb topping for dessert and wasn't impressed. It was just average. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience. Was beginning to think it's tough to find a good restaurant in Rapid city since its chock full of fast food places, but once again Google search to the rescue. Really liked Minervas, Our server, Jake, was one of the nicest people you could hope to meet. A very nice dining experience. Cajun Chicken was on point as were their deserts (Creme Brulee and a Chocolate Souffle). Wasn't expecting a salad bar and always kind of leery about places that have one. Best lunch buffet ever! Super nice food presentation with solid service and seating. Go to place for business lunch in Rapid City! Breakfast closes at 10. There is plenty of close parking. Free coffee while you are waiting in the Hotel lobby next door. Good places to make last-minute phone calls.
