CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEW OWNER "MARIA" This restaurant has been at this location for a while, but, since MARIA took it over, it has had a wonderful change for the better. It is very clean, the food is much more delicious, larger portions, much greater variety of food to choose from on the menu & the decor & atmosphere are so much nicer. Got take out , friendly staff, but was blown away at 10$ for rice and beans. (No meat!!) Beans were tasty though Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Black Beans and Rice and Beans

always my favorite, their yellow rice is the best I have ever had in my life! I always get the pernil, with yellow rice and red beans. I don’t even like beans, and these are delicious. Excellent price, and they give you so much food — it is literally 3 meals for me, for like what, $10? Love. Thank you so much!!

I LOVE Mina's Spanish Kitchen!!! It's the food of my culture and whenever I eat there, it feels like I've come home. Our waiter Eric was very attentive and very sweet. Our service was outstanding! Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

Once upon a time, a truly great small cafe for excellent Latin/Caribean food in New Windsor, was the go-to place for consistently great tasting food and service, and at a good price. Now, Mina's, has not only changed ownership several times, but the food has also packed-up and left the establishment for a better home. God only knows where. With the current abundance of great Central and South American eateries in the Newburgh-New Windsor area, one has to wonder how this place even stays in business. The servers are young ladies with no experience waiting on tables, especially when they do not write things down; often committing things to memory. Good luck getting what you ordered, especially after waiting 45 minutes for food. Even if you do, the food tastes like it had been prepared during the Covid era lock down, when it is assumed by the establishment that most of us have lost our sense of taste as a result having been infect. Our second to last time was a desparate attempt to recconnect with Mina's glory days, and we hoped that second chances can turn an experience around, but, no such luck. How we misstepped again is beyond any explanation. But se la vie. BUT, wait!! ... If soupy, tastless slop across the menu is your thing, and watching young waitress nymphs who's only main preoccupation is to dance around the plating area vying for the equally handsome young cook's attention, well then hey, they get four stars for entertainment. It was my 1st time eating here. The food was amazing and service was fantastic. Each and one of the employees did and amazing job. Took really good care of my family which we were over 20 of there. I definitely recommend eating here. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+

I used to love this place but I was just really disappointed when I went. The food is okay but not anything special. My empanadas were really dry and not very hot. The cubano I got was decent. I liked the mild ketchup with the yuca fries. The waitress was pretty slow but she was nice.
