While driving from Spokane to Montana we wanted to find a nice hometown place to get a hearty breakfast and Michael D’s didn’t disappoint. Our server Diana was very accommodating and answered all of our questions about the menu. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with a pancake and my Girlfriend ordered the corned beef hash with the Saratoga style scrambled eggs. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection. As a chef and restaurant industry veteran, I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Corned Beef Hash is the best I’ve ever had. Good food, great service, but come on, $50 without the tip for simple breakfast for 2? 1 omelet and pancakes with eggs, + coffee.. That's it. One of the best breakfast I ever had, and the best toast I ever had (really thick cut slices of bread). The corned beef hash was homemade and not from a can. Eggs cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were delicious (especially with a side of hollandaise sauce). The zucchini bread was amazing! Located not far from the high way. The service is friendly and the food comes out hot and fast. Definitely worth the stop, amazing breakfast! I absolutely love it here. The staff are so friendly. The food is excellent. You can ask for crispy bacon and you will get it! I love their biscuits and gravy, the quality is better than most places in the area. The potatoes are seriously the best breakfast side in the whole Northwest. We own the Roosevelt Inn, we serve breakfast every day, but when we are off this is our Go-To place for breakfast. Tina loves the trout and gets it most times, the blueberry pancakes are awesome, and that's saying something, since ours are awesome as well. Love this place. I had an omelet with mushrooms, avocado, and swiss cheese, and it was perfect. Love their sausage gravy (had some on my breakfast potatoes). It's true that their oatmeal is the best I've had in Idaho. Super We were there with all six of the brothers together. Hoping it's not the last time we all meet up. But I will be back to Michael D's every time I'm up to visit Brother Tom Looking forward to it. Terrific mom & pop diner. The food is WO derful, staff is great, location is good. They have amazing corned beef... Not the canned stuff you'd get at other diners. This is the shredded beef.
