What a rare treat. I will go out of my way for places like this and I assure you you should for Mel's. Absolutely a gem. Food is everything you could imagine. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the show. They were busy being a Saturday morning and I tell you what, it is orchestrated chaos and wonderful to watch. Chefs in the back Absolutely amazing how they just pump the food out. And the waitresses are pros. Ya, don't miss this place. You will regret it if you do. Was on a roadtrip and stopped by the town to get some gas and right across I saw this diner and the parking lot was packed. Didn’t even hesitate to look for a place to grab some food. I instantly went it, and it paid off big time. The staff are very friendly, food is amazing. I got the corn beef hash and it was literally melting in my mouth. This is the best All American, family run diner in the world by far. Limitless coffee, loads of chrome, airbrushed panels, neon signs. This should never change. Very nostalgic 1950’s diner, breakfast was good omelet was a bit plain pancakes were super. My server was quick and eager to help out. Neighbor was less than desirable and the occasional fly around my table was not good. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I love Mel's. You gotta catch em early nowadays, they are only open until 1 pm... If you want some great quality service,food, as well as a old school atmosphere check this place out you won't regret it...oh almost forgot l,their steak tips and eggs with pancakes my favorite. As well as their old fashioned milk shake served in frozen metal cup

Wow! Just like the name suggests! Takes you back in time! The menu was a little bit high but once we got our food it was worth every penny! I had their unusual Hamburger BLT Club sandwich with fries and it was not just filling, but there was a flavor I couldn’t quite put my finger on and it was the best sandwich I’ve eaten in a very long time! I would suggest travelers and locals who haven’t yet taken a chance on this “back to the’50s” restaurant to stop and experience what we did. And take pictures!
