The restaurant’s staff was excellent from the manager straight down the line, polite, attentive, friendly. Our server, Fernanda was just super! A real win win experience , especially since it was our first time there and todays visit assured us that a return meal is a must. I recently visited Matchbox at Sawgrass Mall and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the sliders - each bite was a delightful mix of flavors, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The meat was juicy and tender, and the buns were fresh and soft, creating a memorable taste sensation. But what really set our experience apart was the exceptional service provided by our server, Mark B. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Mark's recommendations were spot on, and his timely service made our dining experience seamless and enjoyable. Overall, Matchbox at Sawgrass Mall is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food and top-notch service. Highly recommended! The servers try really hard here to be friendly and accommodating. The decor is fun and the atmosphere relaxed and content. Lovely location with amazing deals at happy hour are always worth looking forward to although I found their mojito mix to be way too sweet. Only been there twice and had issues with the side dishes for the ribeye ordered both times. The first time, they ran out of mashed potatoes and served me cold, old fries without asking me what I would have wanted as a side dish instead first. The second time, they served me mash potatoes that were lumpy and tasted weird like they were mixed with some other ingredient that was a bit off. They did offer some compensation but it took awhile to get the substititions. I was left wishing I had tried one of their pizzas instead as they smell delicious as one walks in. I guess my biggest concern there was the lack of cleanliness. The women' s washrooms had garbage overflowing in the bin and papers strewn all over the floor both times I was there indicating they don't clean and sanitize very often at all...quite disconcerting for a restaurant environment where cleanliness should be a priority for obvious reasons. The first time I was there, I wanted to take a photo of the fireplace in the middle of the table and noticed the last diner's fries hadn't been cleaned off. Dirty dishes and glasses aren't cleared off and tables aren't wiped quickly enough I 've noticed. I sent a drink back as it was served in a chipped glass which could have cut my lip open. This restaurant has a lot of potential if only they 'd improve in a few areas. I had high hopes going there but was left sadly disappointed both times.
