The portions were Huge, I can't believe the amount of food we received for the prices being as low as they were. The food itself though, I've never had such amazing food. I melted in my seat at first bite!

Stopped in for a late Breakfast on 12/9/23 and I'm sure glad I did! The restaurant is extremely clean and very festive for the holidays! I was at ease knowing that every menu item was made fresh and sourced locally. Both of my over easy eggs were done to perfection with an extremely rich center. I travel to many places around the world and most restaurants cannot come close to the quality and taste of the eggs that are served at Kitchen on Main! As I ate my breakfast it was impossible not to notice how much love and effort the restaurant staff has put into Kitchen On Main to make it what it is today! The place has a charm to it and it pours into every plate. It takes a lot to earn a five star review but this restaurant checks every box " even the bathroom was top notch clean!" I'll definitely be back!

I have a weird connection to this place, I explored it three years ago when it was an abandoned house, and my friends just moved into the town. They bought the house, and transformed it into a restaurant. I had the grilled cheese, sweet potato fries, and the apple cinnamon butter dip.. for the fries. This spot is a must stop when also stopping at Poor Johnny’s.

I've been following this restaurant on Facebook for a while and hearing about the high quality and taste of food. I finally got there today and can confirm that all of the hype is true!
Housed in a 200 year old building, the two dining rooms have a cozy, eclectic feel. I sat at a table by a window with a great view of West Middletown's Main Street as well as the inside of the restaurant. I especially liked the wooden beamed ceilings.
I had the butternut squash-pear soup, which seemed like an unusual combination but was delicious! The main course (today's special at $9.99)was a pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. Everything here is made from scratch, with no processed or frozen foods, and you can taste the difference! I usually don't get dessert, but I've heard how good they are here, so I tried the chocolate pecan pie, which was full of pecans and so good!
I met Marsha, the owner, who was very welcoming. Service was great. I'm a slow eater and sometimes feel rushed at restaurants by the wait staff, but not at Marsha Cassel's Kitchen on Main. They checked up on me but never rushed me.
Another interesting thing is that nothing goes to waste. The leftovers will be given to the chickens on Marsha's farm!
Great food and great philosophy! Worth a drive!

This had to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. We made reservations for 6. This is a very quaint restaurant in a old house so it is recommended that you make reservations. We were seated quickly. Our friends ordered appetizers for the table and as each plate came out we all commented on how delicious everything was. The hot cheese plate was awesome. 1 couple ordered salads and they were huge! I had a breakfast plate and the chef was not happy with the way she cooked the eggs so she gave me more than I ordered. Another person ordered a burger which she loved. My husband ordered a grilled cheese. That too was excellent. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. All 6 of us enjoyed everything that came out. The server, chef and bus lady/dishwasher were all friendly and fun. We had dessert and the cheesecake was the most delicious cheesecake I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will most definitely return.

Driving through West Middletown you wouldn’t expect to come across such a place. I’ve been here twice now with a coworker and we are both blown away at the quality and flavor of the food. I’ve had Mitch’s Italian sandwich and the Reuben, each time with onion rings. The onion rings were excellent. The Italian was super flavorful. The Reuben was quite possibly the best Reuben I’ve ever had. The thousand islands dressing has to be house made as it tasted like none I’ve ever had. The patio is a great spot to relax and the staff have been super kind and helpful. I can’t wait to bring my wife here for dinner soon.

The people were very kind and welcoming. The food is very expensive $$$ and was not to my liking. It is very cozy and inviting inside, with the exception of the table; it rocked back and forth unless I kept one foot planted on the base. I did not like having to park across the street then cross a somewhat busy roadway to get to the restaurant.
