A Gem for Beer and Fun Enthusiasts! "Overall, our experience at this place was fantastic! It boasts an extensive selection of beers, wines, and liquors - truly a paradise for beverage enthusiasts. The atmosphere is lively with games like darts, ample seating, and TVs everywhere, but the real highlight is the indoor volleyball facility with sand, making it one of the coolest spots in town. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering local tips and attractions, which was especially appreciated since we're from out of town. The only drawback was the margarita, which didn't quite hit the mark. However, it's clear that this place excels more in the beer and shot department. Overall, a must-visit for those seeking a vibrant atmosphere, great drinks, and a fun-filled experience! Great spot to do loads of things. Drinking games, lots of tv’s indoor/outdoor sand volleyball courts… what more could you ask for? A huge beverage selection? That too! I first ate at this restaurant back in the 90s and while the food hasn’t changed the atmosphere is totally different. If you want the restaurant experience stick to that side and avoid the bar. Macaroni bites were great and the goulash is a very good German goulash. The pretzel was ridiculously large but good. We ate here last night(12/28/2023) and was very happy with the food and service. We were a little hesitant because of some post about not being family friendly but those post are wrong. There are 2 areas, a bar area with pool tables, an indoor volleyball court, tables with stools and very loud music. THIS area matches the comments. It is a party atmosphere. And this is the area we first went into. Not a bad area at all, but we're no longer into that particular atmosphere any more. So we asked the guy at the door if there was another part to sit and eat. Yes the RESTAURANT side is the next door down. Service was awesome. She sat down at our table and explained all of the different sausage choices, recommended a perfect German beer for the food, answered all of my questions( my first time in a German restaurant of any kind) and checked on us often. The food was great, it was quiet and very relaxing. So don't miss this wonderful little restaurant because of the reputation of the bar side. It's one business, one building, offering a great menu and great service to two different lifestyles. As for the bar side, if I were a bit younger and hanging out with several friends, this would be a great hangout. Volleyball, table games and an unreal beer menu. Beers from multiple countries. I know there's a challenge out there to drink every beer on the menu. Anyway, enjoy! My grandpa wanted to give this place a try, and I'm here visiting from Wisconsin where there is a surprising lack of good German food. We shared an absolutely enormous pretzel and the potato pancakes, and both were served piping hot and delicious. For entrees we each had jagerschnitzel, and once again it was served very hot and fresh! The schnitzel was honestly the best I've had in a long time. On top of the food being genuinely great, our server was kind, attentive, informative, and patient! If I didn't live 800 miles away, I'd be a regular here for sure.
