This place is a local gem to eat at. The service was fantastic, very personable! For food, I got the clam chowder and fish tacos on corn tortillas. The clam chowder was delicious, creamy and had hints of sand (meaning authentic). The fish tacos could have used some extra flavor to them but all in all they were good. My friend ordered the grilled halibut salad. The halibut needed more seasoning but otherwise it was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this place if you are passing through. Simple local eatery making great food at a fair price. Wanted a Midwestern ship cocktail and he came up with a perfect comprise off the menu. Great beer menu with many local microbrewery options. The place is simple in deco but excellent in service serves real fresh local seafood. I put them on my favorites list. Very friendly owners. I had visited several food establishments during my week up and down the coast. From Yachats to Tillamook. Luna's has THE best fish and chips. Ordered the Slumgullion which you can get either with traditional clam chowder or Manhattan style.Get extra bread you be glad you did. Sit outside its warm and you have a view of ocean. Best food ever! Very satisfying and filling . Taste was phenomenal. Thanks so much for you continued improvement of this business. Really really excellent! We had cod fish and chips, crab cakes, and a mixed platter with prawns, scallops and halibut. All of it was fresh and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was nothing to note but the tartar sauce was bomb. It was a little confusing to figure out if you could eat inside (you can) and whether the entrance was in the front or back (both). Great Fish & Chips! I had the halibut, and my wife had the salmon. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day, and our meals came out promptly, and arrived piping hot, including the chips. Very fresh, crispy, and the staff really hustled. Good service. Other people’s food looked really good too. Great tasting halibut and chips. I first regret ordering the shrimp and chips kids meal for my daughter because my halibut and chips were so big portions we could have shared. However, my first time ever that a kids meal tasted so good. Definitely recommend the shrimp and chips kids' meal if you want a smaller meal. Great selection of fish and chips. We tried the mixed platter and got halibut, shrimp and scallops which were all good. The steamed clams were surprisingly small but plentiful and tasty. The inside dining area is plain but lively. The bathroom could use a good clearing down. Not much for atmosphere but fantastic, friendly service and good food! The fish is served with like a tempura beer battered coating, which I liked a lot. The fish was perfect. The prawns I had with my shrimp were huge and meaty. The clam chowder was good but the garlic toast served with it was a little sad. Small pieces and not well toasted. I don’t care for steak fries but they were decent. The weather was good when we ate here. We sat in an outdoor seating area with heat lamps and it was enclosed so if the weather isn’t great it would be ‘okay’. The indoor dining area seems very small. Next time I’d probably order to go and sit on the beach to take in the view with some good grub.
