My wife and I had an incredible meal. Wonderful service, lovely location, great food. My wife had the king salmon and it was superb. I had the Angus prime filet and it was a perfect piece of meat, perfectly cooked. We also had the Dungeness crab cake and a nice caesar salad. We also had cremé brulee for desert with some delicious port wine.
I'm knocking them down one star only because it irks me to be charged $10 for bread at the table when we spent $150 per person for the meal.

Amazing place. Service is top notch, food is super delicious on the level of Michelin star, cozy atmosphere and great vibe of Carmel valley. somewhat pricey but in my opinion worth it.
We got ahi tuna for appetiser, salmon, butternut squash ravioli for main dishes and both were amazing. For desert we got fig cheesecake with pistachios and it was mind blowing. Nice wine selection and some draft beers. very special place!

Salmon Dinner
The service was lovely, Henry went out of his way to be terrific. The low rating is because the “tapenade” on top of the fish main contained an entire olive pit, which caused me to painfully crack my tooth. I informed the staff and they seemed very unperturbed and awkwardly asked to take the olive pit. I assumed they wanted to take the olive pit as proof it was in the tapenade to show the kitchen staff, but no one ever came back to acknowledge the big mistake. Feels like a pretty alarming thing in a luxury hotel to not (at the very least) comp the dish with the olive pit, let alone come over to apologize for serving a meal that chipped my tooth. They just completely swept it under the rug. This was totally a mistake on their behalf and the lack of acknowledgement and accountability was shocking. I would definitely give your meal a thorough inspection before risk taking a bite, unless you don’t mind spending hours at the dentist and spending hundreds on a medical bill.
