Let me start by saying “I Love Longhorn” but not the Longhorn in Bowling Green KY…. I have been to Longhorn in several states now …normally never a problem. However, the Longhorn in Bowling Green has been disappointing… the first time I had a hamburger and it was so raw it could have walked off the table…. The manager said she would give free dessert ( which I don’t eat). I tried them again tonight and all the food …appetizer, salad, steak showed at the same time…which means by the time we got to the steak they were cold. We were offered free dessert or they could take the steak and stick it under the burner to keep it warm… why they didn’t offer to remake our steaks is beyond me. Service was bad and the server came to us twice asking if we wanted boxes… we had not been there for more then 27 minutes…I declined and then the Server brought us boxes anyway to rush us out. I am paying over $100 so give me a few minutes to drink my drink and eat the cold food you served me. Look I have been a waitress, bartender, chef… there is no excuse to run a business this way. Longhorn is supposed to be everything the owner wrote about on the website. How about the owner back up their words. I have no problem spending the money as long as it is worth it. …… do better. The waitress went beyond what I expected. The food not so good. They had new people there. They overcooked my Flo’s Filet and for some reason they had cut into it. I asked for med-rare but it came out medium well. The waitress got the manager out and they made me another one. It was not quite as bad but still had a cut in it. It was medium. My daughter ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was over cooked and dry and she said tasted burnt. It was pretty dark on bottom. They made her another one. It was better. I also ordered food to take home to my wife. They had forgot the spinach dip, so I called them. The waitress took my name and said come tomorrow and get it. My daughter went to pick it up today and they didn’t have anything documented and didn’t want to give it to her. Hopefully they will get their cook staff trained. Also the steak didn’t look like the 9 oz fillet. It was too small. You’re supposed to let a steak rest when you’re done cooking it. They cut into mine both times and the juices run out. I’ll try it again in a month or so and see if they’ve improved. My husband and I celebrated our 11 year anniversary today and we decided to go to Longhorn. Best decision ever. Our server Sid was the absolute sweetest server we’ve ever had. He checked on us to make sure everything was perfect and even chatted with us here and there. We were talking and I said we were out for a date to celebrate our anniversary. He said, “I’m glad you told me that. I’ll be right back.” He came back a few minutes later with 2 gigantic pieces of chocolate cake with ice cream on the house! We were so happy! Longhorn has improved! Service was excellent and the food was hot and fresh. The salmon was seasoned just right and so tender it was melting in my mouth! The steaks were spot on tender and cooked perfectly. Bread was hot and delicious and the ribs were awesome! Price point is good. Parking was ok but they could use more spaces…good thing the mall is just behind the restaurant for extra spaces. Restrooms were clean and well maintained. Atmosphere is casual and laid back but a bit cowed. A solid option for a great meal! Keep it up…we will be back!
