Every time we get off the ferry in Tiburon (from San Francisco) we head to Lola’s for a chicken burrito with green salsa. You will never forget how delicious they are! You can feel the love that went into perfecting the food at Lola’s - a family run eatery. Great chips, salsas and tacos, too.
You can eat at tables on the street and watch the locals and tourists bike, walk or drive by but we usually do take-out then hike, sail or shop.
Local lore has it that Lola (the mom) worked for a family in Marin and was such a good cook that they helped her set up shop in downtown Tiburon. Her kids worked there to put themselves through school, too. It’s a touching story!
But it’s those burritos we crave when we are not in the area. Don’t miss a chance to enjoy one when you are in the area and support a local business woman and talented Mexican cook.

Chicken Burrito
I always get the chiles rellenos, usually while drinking a bottle at Tiburon Wine while the squeeze gets a bean and rice burrito (what? no veg?). The two sauces that come with the chiles can be amazing or just very good.

Nice Mexican place in Tiburon, the food was absolutely delicious. The guacamole was super tasty as well as the plates we ordered.
I recommend to get the side tortillas, they are delicious.
Great value for money, prices are really low.
However the service was terrible, no one said hello when we arrived or when we ordered and didn’t even say a word when they took our order.
Also it was freezing in the restaurant, as cold as outside. We were expecting to get warmer in the middle of our ride but it was a disappointment.

Tortillas
A nice, reasonably priced, homemade style Mexican restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and tastes. It's not a fancy place, inside one small window table and one larger table for 6, outside several tables. Busy take out service but they manage well. We made a reservation for the large table inside. It seems to be a family place, the chile relleno was delicious and served with black beans instead of refried mush. No alcohol available but free tap & priced bottled water & soft drinks. Even the flour tortillas were homemade. Check it out if you're in Tiburon, recommended.
