Their red chile sauce is heavenly. I would suggest getting a wet burrito smothered in it. You won't be sorry. My wife has been taking me here for years. We also go to pick up 15lbs of maza during Christmas to make tamales at home. Never had a bad meal or service, and the price you pay, you get a good-sized serving portion. Pretty popular place gets busy for dinner. My friend and I ordered separately at the front counter. I ordered one fish taco, which was the most pathetic fish taco I've ever seen and a beer. I went to pick up my beer at the bar and sat there at the bar. The bar tender told me I couldn't sit there because I didn't order my food and drink with him. Mind you, the entire bar on the back side was empty! My friend and I sat out on the patio. She had ordered a burrito and quesadilla. It came with pico de gallo and sour cream, which she didn't use. She wanted salsa. She went back inside and asked for a small cup of salsa. She was told no, she had to buy it. They really need to change their seating "rules." Had I been ALLOWED to sit in the bar, I know I would have purchased another beer. Instead of wasting money on giving customers condiments they won't use, they should give customers options. I have always enjoyed the warm family atmosphere and attention to detail that is needed for the celebration of birthdays, anniversary, and special family occasions. My parents love meeting after church for a meal with the family. The manager has not forgotten about their grandparents who started the restaurant and have carried on the hospitality into future generations . Thank you!
