My wife and I are in town visiting Phoenix for the the first time. We are staying at the crown plaza and decided to walk around to find a place to eat. We first came across another Mexican restaurant but we are so glad we came. The whole experience at La Rista was great. We had a wonderful server Naudia who took great care of us! But I do want to shout out to all the staff. We had about 4 people come refill our water. We also sat out on the side patio which was wonderful. They turned the heaters on for us so we were nice and toasty. House margs - 10/10! They came so fast and tasted amazing. Green chili burrito - 12/10! The flavor was out of this world. Mexican pizza - 7/10 - it was good but I think I like green white sauce better than the red sauce that came (the burrito was so big did not really even need it) Overall a great restaurant and do recommend! Came here on a whim because we didn’t want to cook and it did not disappoint! Loved the ambiance and the restaurant was super cute! It was 6:45 on Sunday night and we had a quick wait but we’re seated within five minutes. The football game was broadcasted on a bunch of tvs and played on the surround sound throughout the restaurant which made for a really cool Sunday night football viewing experience (and I’m a “go sports” kinda girl about football lol)! We were greeted promptly and were given complimentary chips and a salsa trio! All three salsas were absolutely fantastic! I ordered a prickly pear enchanted marg. I couldn’t taste the tequila (because it was made so good) but it was really really good! It’s their double marg and one did the job lol. I ordered the shrimp rice bowl and my fiancé ordered the stuffed sopapillas with rice and mashed potatoes! Food was fantastic. Great service by Sampson! They also surprised us with chocolate stuffed churros for our engagement and it was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend! Restaurant is beautiful and in a great location. We sat outside which we learned was a mistake as someone was smoking and we were down wind. Service was consistent but the food was very disappointing. Ordered the stacked enchiladas in the white sauce that the server recommended. Chicken had no taste, tortillas were mushy and the beans were cold. I was bummed out because it looked delicious. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

So far everything nice. Prompt service. Chips and salsa comes out first. different chilies sauces. I like the lighter one not as hot but all are good. I ordered the fajita and shrimp plate. Can’t wait….chips are not hard to crunch. Quite soft. Parking garage in the back where u park.. I’ll let you know when food comes out. I know for sure the breakfast burrito are the bomb 💣. Has some fire too them. But excelente.. food was good as it looks. Wonderful. Hit the spot.. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

Three stars for this place is not because they don’t have their stuff together. It’s because they don’t keep their live music long enough. Both times we’ve been here on a Friday night after ordering our drinks and appetizers the music stops at 9. Two hours before they close is too early. People are really enjoying the music and many get up and dance. We loved the music the band was playing this evening. The music is a big deal for some people (Me:✋) It’s fun! Also, we ordered a couple of appetizers and a couple of drinks while we were there. My husband ordered the Green chili cheese fries and I had the Quesadilla. Mine was very good, close to perfect! The green chili fries on the other hand did not have enough green chilies. Definitely needed more chilies to be great! Food was good Service was average. Drinks were good. Street tacos came with 2 tortillas per taco which allowed for combining your sides with the meat, doubling to 6 tacos. Free chips and 3 salsa flight. $20 margarita pitcher at happy hour was economical. Wife enjoyed the guacamole app. Service was adequate. We went to listen to the live music. Ian Eric is the bomb! We ordered margaritas and nachos. The margs were decent, and the nachos were very good. The older waitress barely spoke to us and never smiled. She was not friendly at all. I will be back to listen to music and definitely order the awesome nachos. We tried this place for brunch and we were greeted quickly and seated right away. James our server hot our drink order. He then got our order. I ordered Biscuit with green chili and my partner order Southwest Scramble both very delicious. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. My husband and I stopped here for cocktails and appetizers before our movie. I had an Arizona sunset margarita it was so good! We also had the chips and guac. They have 3 salsa choices which were all so yummy. Our bartender Brandon was awesome super attentive and friendly. All of the staff was great, there was live music as well. Will definitely be back.
