Really wonderful spot that Kernersville is lucky to have. I had never been before and didn't know the protocol.
Although I can get by in Spanish if someone speaks to me slowwwwwly, I didn't have to, as they had an employee fluent in English to help me. I took a tray and some tongs and wandered amongst the display cases loading up the tray.
There are a huge variety of pastries, sweet breads, and even churros, doughnuts, and... cornbread?! I haven't gotten to try everything I bought yet, but what I've bitten into was fresh and delicious.
Also, inexpensive! I can't remember the exact names of everything I got, but it was 7 pastries/sweet breads, a churro, and a packet of wheat duros for only $21.41! I couldn't believe it.
They also have sodas, fresh produce, chips and candy like a convenience store might have. Except the vegetables (tomatillos, onions, peppers, cilantro) looked really fresh and healthy. :)
Go go go!
We just went and it was awesome! SO much selection of baked goods- this is how a bakery should be! And the ladies working there were just so sweet and helpful. So happy to have a local bakery!
Amazing bakery!! When you go in, you get a tray and tongs and start selecting your goodies! We got a tray full of deliciousness for just over $30. Highly recommend this bakery.
This place used to my my favorite bakery but then they hired new employees and it all went bad after that. They touch the money with their hands then touch the bread with their hands! and suddenly the prices went up so much and they don't taste as good as they used too!! this place used to be such a vibe use to greet you and treat you with respect im not sure if they got a new owner or what happened but its just not it.
Don’t go here. The health inspector need to shut them down. This place is terrible. They have a roach infestation🪳🪳🪳. I bought a cake and found several roaches in between the box.🤮
Also I want to mention. They’re racist if your not Hispanic. I bought a cake for my son birthday. I was charged $23.00 but when they found out I didn’t speak Spanish. I was charged another rate of 40.00 dollars. Also when I went to pick it up I was charged another $15.00 dollars. These people are nothing but thieves.
It’s the worst cake ever too. They didn’t even spell happy birthday correctly and wouldn’t give me a refund for their roach infested cake. 🪳🪳
This place has too many items to name but I'll try! First, they have a huge selection of pan dulce (sweet bread). They have conchas (shell shaped bread), cerditos (pig shaped bread), cream cheese filled pastries, jelly filled rolls with icing, mini cookies (the ones with pecan bits melt in your mouth!) They also have fresh rolls (bolillos) and homemade tortillas. They also have cake slices including tres leches. They have some fresh produce including jalapeños and cilantro. They even have grocery items such as Abuelita Mexican chocolate, Jarritos drinks, Valentina hot sauce and more! There are churros and donuts available at the checkout counter. You can also purchase piñatas and order custom cakes. The service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. All are welcome here!
After pizza next door, I stop in this great bakery and fill a tray of sweets to bring home. Angel wings, turnovers, jelly rolls, and tres leches cake. So much to choose from!
