I LOVE this store. They are a throwback to what grocery stores were like before the big stores shrunk selections. Koplins is an especially great place for single people or couples who don't want to do a lot of cooking from scratch, but want good food and variety. They have a lot of homestyle prepared foods and soups packaged in quantities good for one or two people. They have a wider selection of meats than bigger stores. I don't live in Red Wing, but help my Mom when she shops here. Some prices are higher than at larger stores, but I would definitely shop here if I lived in RW because of all the good looking stuff they have.

I called ahead and asked if they had approx. 20 pounds of prime rib for a roast. They said yes. When I went to pick it up, they had a box ready for me, which turned out to actually be 30 pounds of porterhouses. I'm unsure of why they tried to have me walk out of the store with something completely different from my order. I told the employee that I was supposed to be getting prime rib for a roast, and he then informed me they didn't have prime rib. So instead, I ended up getting a partial refund and buying some of the porterhouses, as I didn't have another option. I do not like leaving bad reviews, but in this case, I felt it necessary. Myself and about 15 others were counting on Koplins, and they fell short. This was my first time at the store, and I will not be going back.

I love this place! It is quiet and non stressful (big box stores are over stimulating to me). They are small but they have a good selection and really good prices

Great meat market, saved alot on a John Morrell ham for Easter. Also picked up baby back ribs on sale ....couple bucks off a rack. Fair prices, great sales on meat along with friendly owners make this a great option for local shopping!

Reminds me of my childhood at the Corner Red Owl!! Very friendly staff, especially the butcher who takes such pride in his work! Best brats in town and such unique creations! Lots of local stuff, easy parking, centrally located, competitive prices, and always 5 star service!
