I came here for lunch with my family. This was my first time stopping here if. I can't believe how cheap the prices were. Plus how delicious and the seasoning is just right. Got the BLT added avocado, so good. Thick cut bacon, fresh veggies, and Texas toast makes this a great BLT. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken Sandwich with onion rings, they were huge! The sandwich was bigger than my hand and the onion rings were thick cut. Kids got fried fish & hot dog, both were gone before we left. Would come back if in the area again. It's self seating, plenty of room, the service is wonderful, plenty of parking, the food is delicious and plentiful.. Exceptional value and quality for the price. The plates are big enough for two. Always fresh hot and filled with southern soul. The baked potatoes are about 5lbs. Be sure to get the sweet tea it's a Texas standard. Be sure you get there early for breakfast to get a biscuit before they run out, they are awesome with the gravy. It was a bit noisy, but the food was rather good. The top half of the waffles were crunchy, falling apart, and the bottom half was soft and chewy. It was interesting but still good. Chicken I had a rough crispy texture that was easily softened by the gravy provided with the meal. There were some stringy tough pieces where it was thinner, but the flavor was still good, and it was cooked all the way through. Food portion sizes were huge. Food was good and tasted like made from scratch. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Only negative is the place is a little older and could use a thorough cleaning and updates. The cheese and broccolli casserole was amazing.
