Kay's has a nostalgic atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door because it dates back to the 1920's. Our crab bisque hit the spot along with the hot round loaf of bread. The pasta is homemade. We enjoyed lasagna, stuffed eggplant, and the Margherita pizza. We also took home a box of Italian cookies. Next time I'll buy a jam, a candle and a set of earrings as gifts. What an adorable little restaurant to visit on a cold, snowy, winter Day! The dining car is beautiful, warm and cozy with a fireplace! We're originally from Jersey, and after living all over the country the past decade, we've really been looking forward to some good pizza. Kay's has it, we are so happy with their pizza! The only thing I recommend is to think twice about getting extra cheese! A lot of pizzeria's are skimpy with the cheese so we ordered extra. It was not needed! There's so much cheese on this pizza, I couldn't even finish a slice! Great taste, reminds us of home, no need to look anywhere else for pizza! We randomly picked this spot for they open til later than most others, they had me at the cinnamon bun with icing that came first with their freshly baked warm bread. Then we were so surprised with their portion, I couldn’t finish half of my food. Their mozzarella cheese with herbs sprinkled on top taste better and better as I chew. Also kudos to their friendly staff, had some nice chat and even recommendations for other places nearby! As we were leaving, I saw the candles they sell near the door, picked one called Duck Fart, which smells quite good!! Haha! 6/28/23 first time here. Interesting cool place. Friendly people here and lots of choices on the menu. I had the spinach gnocchi. The gnocchi was cooked just right and tasted good. I was disappointed with the very plain sauce, i think it deserves a better sauce with Italian spices and garlic. The salad was fine and the special chickpea salad was really delicious. The bread was warm, crusty on the outside and soft inside - just right. The cinnamon rolls were really nice too. The dessert options looked really good in the case, i just didn't have room. Hopefully next time I'll get dessert! Great deserts! Large portions with take-a-way boxes. I took my granddaughter and she ordered from the child’s menu ‘make your own pizza.’ She loved it. First time trying Kay’s, after visiting family up in that area. The food portions were excellent considering the price point. Chicken parm & garlic knots were awesome! The cinnamon bun was great too! The salad was the only thing that tasted a little off. But overall, the food was fantastic! Place needs some updating.

What a great and friendly little place. We shared a small pizza with meatballs. It was on the thin side and a bit crispy which I love. Sauce was yummy. Served nice and hot on a metal pan. Learned a bit of the history from our wonderful waitress, Brandis. This place was a factory manufactured building that was literally resurrected from a garbage heap. The whole staff was friendly and, even though it was packed and busy, the service was good and fast. Great place.
