I ordered a birthday cake for the surprise birthday party of my wife. I wanted to have something a bit quirky that would also work as a joke so I ordered cake inspired by a tree. I sent Josephine a rapidly googled photo as a template. To my surprise, the final cake turned out nicer than the photo! Also, as all the guests remarked, the double-chocolate cake was delicious, fluffy not too sweet and even the children (who are notoriously picky about their cakes) liked it!
Thanks for making the cake one of the highlights of a great party!

Perfectly fluffy, scrumptious cake for a Christening. If you like butter cream, you'll love these cakes. The design was implemented with a lot of creativity and the order process was simple. At pick-up we were instructed how to best store and cut the cake. All together a great customer experience!
We were very disappointed with the quality of our wedding cake.
We ordered “strawberry pistachio cake”, and expected:
- actual pieces of strawberry fruits
- pieces of pistachios
- proper fluffy layers of cake baked with cake flour, like you'd expect from any good cake
- thick but light filling between the layers of cake
However we received:
- no strawberries, but strawberry confit
- no pieces of pistachios, but pistachio cream (*no one* who tasted the cake could actually taste pistachios, so we still think there has been a production error)
- layers of heavy buttercream
The fact that they don't use real friuts and nuts IS mentioned on their webpage, so the description of the cake is accurate, BUT be careful you read that fine print. Don't assume you'll get a quality cake with actual fruits/nuts/etc just by looking at the title and pictures (like we did).
In the end we received a cake that was like a massive cupcake in terms of quality and ingredients; nowhere near the standards we expected from any good pastry shop.
The only single good thing about the cake was it did indeed look great from the outside (see the picture), hence two stars instead of one.
Luckily, we were at a famous cafe in Baden-Baden couple days later, had an amazing strawberry cake, and could have closure.
We submitted a very last minute request for a small wedding cake and Aurélie was super responsive, professional, and willing to accommodate our request. But more importantly, the cake we received was absolutely gorgeous and super delicious. Our guests were all impressed with how the cake looked and tasted and while I initially thought we’d have leftovers, the cake was quickly gone. Will absolutely go back when needed!
Super atelier Masterclass réalisé avec Aurélie qui nous a beaucoup appris avec ses précieux conseils et le tout dans une ambiance détendue. Je suis repartie avec ma création qui fut un succès. Je hâte de revenir pour les ateliers Masterclass et je ferai appel à Joséphine Pâtisserie pour l’anniversaire de mon fils.
