After enjoying Jugendstilsenteret and Kunstmuseet Kube, visit this fast food which is not far away. Being at JaFs, order nicely cooked cod, fish & chips and hamburgers. Decent fish and chips. Good taste but could use a little bit more finesse in presentation and serving. To-go orders are all over the place. The house could use more orders management. We stopped at Jafs during our cruise. Easy to find right on the water in the middle of downtown. Limited outdoor seating but we had no problem getting a table. Nice service from the English speaking employees. The fish and chips are a must, you can choose 1,2 or 3 pieces. Fish was served hot and crispy with a delicious crust. Fries were also hot and crispy. A slice of lemon and choice of sauce is also on the plate. Definitely some of the best we have had! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered fish and chips at this place as our tour guide recommended it. The fish was absolutely delicious and fresh! One of the best and least expensive meals we have had in Norway. Legendary Jafs. I was very disapointed of portion that i got (kebab i pita), 3 other (kebabs i rull) that ate my kids was normal, so i guess taste was not bad, they ate them all, but the portion could be bigher for this price. In the end when i had to come back from home to ask, are they normaly serve food like this, i got an answer that i ate half of it and brought i back :D FOR OTHERS, PLEASE CHECK TAKE AWAY FOOD BEFORE LEAVING THE PLACE, was with kids standing on rain to get back home faster, my misstake. Shame for a kokk, he just could say sorry and explain he was in rush or he is a new employee and i would understand and stay to wait for a new one, and post a bad comment that can harm Jafs reputation, but answer that i got back just shocked me. As they say, the best Fish & Chips in town 👍🏻Three portion sizes to choose from, medium = two pieces of fish. Delicious! Pity there is only outside seating. Only four buffet chairs are under the roof - I guess much more people would come during rainy days if the tables were covered... They serve burgers and kebab too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Is it the best fish and chips in the world? Probably not BUT to be honest, it’s still nice fish and chips and price-value this might actually be one of the better meals we’ve had in Norway. Their homemade garlic sauce was actually great and the lady serving us was very friendly. Terrace could be nicer but it’s a literal street food stall so I’m just happy it had a nice view and not too many pigeons.

You can feel the cod's freshness. Two crispy battered cod pieces with tasty fries. Not sure if this is the best fish and chips I've ever had (I live in the UK, home of the fish and chips), but it's in the top 3 I'd say Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

One of the best "fish & chips" I have ever eaten. perfectly fried, fresh and juicy. small kiosk, in the city center, if you are looking for tasty and simple food at a reasonable price this is a great choice, delicious!
