Met een groep van 4 heb ik bij Rajani Nambiars south indian kitchen gegeten. Van te voren heb ik een prettig en fijn contact gehad met Rajani over het menu, waarbij ik aan kon geven wat wij eventueel wel of niet wilden. Bij onze aankomst werden we gastvrij ontvangen en mochten we meteen aan de keukentafel zitten. Het duurde niet lang voordat het voorgerecht al op tafel stond en wij heerlijk aan het eten waren. Bij alle gerechten kregen we een uitleg wat het was, waar het van gemaakt was en soms ook hoe we het moesten eten. Al het eten dat ze gemaakt had was heerlijk! Door de intieme setting en de gastvrijheid van Rajani en Jan voelde je je erg op je gemak en kreeg ik al snel het gevoel dat ik ze al veel langer kende. Ik vond het eten heerlijk en kom graag nog een keer terug. Ons menu: STARTER: • Vada served with Chutney MAIN COURSE: • Ghee Rice with Cashew nut,Raisins & Saffren • Dal with light seasoning • Butter Chicken • Mixed ripe Fruit Salad • Stirfried Veg./Cabbage • Auberjine Salad • Pathrode( a delicacy from Udupi) DESSERT: • Moong dal payasam • Papadam etc. Meal type Dinner

I would start by saying one of the best places I have been. It’s a home where Rajani serves food. It’s “authentic” home made Indian food and I could connect the taste to Kerala and Karnataka. Taste, service, quantity was too good. I felt like I visited one of my near ones. I highly recommend this place and even though the food is one of the best, the overall experience is mesmerising. Lekker eten in de huiskamer van dit huiskamer restaurant. Vegetarisch is ook mogelijk en is zeer uitgebreid. Je moet wel een afspraak maken, want het is niet altijd open. De opbrengst gaat naar een goed doel in India.
