The Staff went above and beyond to assist. Extremely helpful and friendly. We are visitors an unable to speak Norwegian, the staff spoke very fluent in English which we appreciated. The food was amazing, so delicious and so filling. Next time I think I will just have mains, minus the Nan Bread. We had Rogan Josh & Buttered Chicken. Delicious.. The serving dishes were beautiful. I have been to India Gate many times, I have also ordered food from here a few times. Today I want to edit my previous review, removing a star and explain why. The food here is really good, the sauces are amazing, the presentation is great - however I must say, it used to be better. Sometimes veggies weren't fully cooked, other times the meat was not marinated. The last time I went to India Gate to have dinner with my family, the service was bad. Our waitress didn't speak Norwegian and only limited English. It was very difficult to communicate orders and ask allergy related questions. Today, we ordered food to be delivered home. And the Mango Chicken Tikka, my all time favorite meal from this restaurant, was missing the chicken. Amazing tasty food! I was more than satisfied with the size of portions. A big advantage - kids menu with mild dishes. Good service, workers are polite and attentive, waiters did everything to make guests feel comfortable. The atmosphere was hospital and warm. It was my first time at this restaurant and I'm definitely planning on going there more times.

Extremely delicious and i saw all the bad reviews here and NONE of them are true. ♾️/10 (i also saw a WHITE woman complain about the chicken tikka masala she ate and how it was “disgusting”. First time visitor in Haugesund and found this beautifully set up restaurant, while wandering around the streets taking photographs. A very nice experience with the staff. Food reminded me of tastes back from home in India. Felt back to the roots. Glad I found the place by chance :) , fantastic ambience.
