I was here before the extension to the restaurant - what a big difference! Loved it. The food was as good as ever, the guys serving were very nice and now nice spacious seating (loved the chairs!). Not bad food. Just a long waiting time, even for a beer. Also smokers disturb on the open air. Looks like non smokers do not have a chance for fresh air ( Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

My original review is from 3 years ago when late Antonio Messina was running the restaurant. We heard that Il Sole is open again so I made the reservation, with a bit of scepticism, can it be that good again? And it can. We went to Il Sole for my husband's birthday. I mentioned that when making a reservation and when we entered, Giuliano looked up the reservation and gave his best wishes to my husband immediately. On our table, written best wishes. Antonio is serving wine and food. We had excellent wine. Food was brilliant, the restaurant was full and everyone was enjoying. We will be back soon! Grazie mille..! Service Dine in

Antonio makes the best pizza’s. My personal favorites are pizza Parma and pizza Bianca. 🍕😋 Book in advance if you want to have a table.

In my opinion one of the best Italian-Sicilian restaurants you will find in the Gorinchem region. The service is incredibly friendly and the owner is a very heartwarming man himself. Definitely a go-to for Italian and Sicilian specialties!

Excellent pizza's and pasta. Affordable prices. Nice and friendly owner. You can also order a take away but you have to pick it up yourself.
