Came here twice during our vacation, really loved the food and service the first time (it was a week day) and we came back on a Saturday and oh boy it was dramatically different service. Very slow to get drinks and food. They needed way more help on weekends. Otherwise, I would totally recommend going to eat some seafood or pizza on a less busy night. Had an early dinner about 5.30pm. Wasn't busy and had a very nice view. Ordered the special of the day a local fish and some garlic cheese bread. The meal was simply superb and the atmosphere really relaxing. Staff were attentive and polite. Highly recommended. I will definitely go back while I am here. A nice tourist spot to have dinner looking at the sunset in Sliema. We could feel it was just tourists but that didn’t ruin the experience because we could have a different variety of foods and all of our big group was satisfied. First of all, we did not get a chance to choose our table - staff said " this table is too big for you" even though the table was for 5 persons and we were a company of 3. A table beside the one we wanted was for 5 persons and was occupied by 3 people. We were suggested to sit by a table with a "sea view" ( You can see int he photo the beautiful view we were given). The table was the exact same size we were refused to sit at. We were sitting at a table that was always wobling and peeling off. The chairs were metal and rusty and really uncomfortable, no one suggested to put a pillow so we could recline and not get rust on our clothes. The staff is really unprofessional, slow service. We were waiting for our cocktails for 30 minutes, and at the end not all of the cocktails were brought. If you are wondering if the restaurant may be full and busy, that is not the reason for the delay. Since the restaurant had around 3/4 of tables empty. Some of the stuff we ordered has been brought to us not on a tray but instead by hand which is not really a way to act for the staff of a restaurant... Exceptional services!! We came as group of 6 hoping to have dinner outside with the view. Our waiter was so funny and had all laughing as soon as we sat down. We managed to all order drinks and our meals but unfortunately it was just too windy and we were too cold to sit outside anymore. The waiter was super nice and understood and was able to get a table inside and help love all our drinks and have our meals served inside. Unfortunately once we moved inside we didn’t seem to have a waiter anymore and had to ask random waiters walking by for extra service, like drinks or ordering more food. The meals themselves were one of the best we had while in Malta and everyone really enjoyed them. While worth the price. Great location, great staff and great tasting food. Would recommend. Views and Atmosphere, but Language Barriers Affected Service Quality: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Il-Fortizza restaurant. It boasted some exceptional features: outdoor dining with great views, an atmosphere free from street traffic, and an overall pleasant ambiance. The establishment was strategically situated in a location that allowed us outdoor dining and to enjoy vistas of the sea. However, one aspect that could be improved upon was the language proficiency of non-Maltese service workers. It was evident that they struggled with English, which occasionally led to miscommunication and delays in service. Despite this minor setback, the restaurant made up for it with its delectable cuisine. The menu featured a wide variety of dishes, ranging from local specialties to international flavors. In conclusion, the restaurant's great views and delightful cuisine make it a worthwhile dining destination. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Very good place with great view and nice menu. Met our expectations, as well as friendly professional service asking if everything is fine. Food was good but not perfect, Tuna was smelling just a bit like canned one . And pork belly was really overcooked, yet some potatoes were bit hard inside. So I would advise to the chief to pay bit more attention to the cooking process. Otherwise the rest was good. Thank you!
