The Hungry Peddler in La Crosse is a classic Wisconsin supper club that has been around for decades. It's a cozy, old-fashioned restaurant with a charming decor and an inviting atmosphere. The menu features classic American cuisine, including delicious breakfast options such as biscuits and gravy, crispy hash browns, and pancakes. For dinner, they offer a variety of dishes such as French onion soup, beef tenderloin tips, and battered cod dinners. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the waitstaff are knowledgeable and helpful. In addition, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. All in all, this is a great place to get a tasty meal and have a wonderful dining experience.

We've been here a few times, and our server has been Paula( sorry if I spelled it wrong). SHE IS AMAZING!!!!! I absolutely love her. I have worked in the restaurant industry for a few years, and my husband has run restaurant kitchens for years . We have to say she is one of the best severs we have ever met! She is one of the most enthusiastic, sweetest, and warm hearted ladies we've ever encountered. Very punctual and attenitve!!!! The food every time has been amazing...so filling that we usually take some home. I absolutely love the French onion soup, one of the best I've found in this town. The lasagna tastes like a beautiful home cooked meal. If you're looking for a great dinner and service, this is one of my tops for lacrosse!!!....only thing I didn't like was the used canned jalapeños wished they were fresh Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes French Onion Soup

This place was AMAZING! I had an exceptional experience, thanks to our server, Paula. Not only was the filet mignon, inferno sandwich, club sandwich, hamburger steak, and grilled chicken absolutely delicious, but Paula's outstanding service truly elevated our visit. Her extensive knowledge of the menu and delightful personality brightened our day. We look forward to returning soon! Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have personally eaten here for more than 40 years. This was a favorite of one of my elder brothers. My wife and I enjoyed our lunch very much. I had the crock of french onion soup. My wife had the Reuben. The soup was properly topped with browned melted cheese hot enough to be molten. The double decker Reuben with sauce on the side was tender and juicy. I highly recommend this landmark place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
