Shrimp grits were to die for! Soooo delicious and flavorful! Very homey and cozy feel. The scrambalaya was under seasoned. We got their seasonal special pierogies and they were just okay. Friendly staff. Came for the hash and it was great. Properly prepared scrambled eggs (TY). Hashbrown was a little to oily for me, the thick cut sourdough with jam was a great addition. I went here yesterday for breakfast. It's a cute little hole in the wall place. The staff are super friendly, the food was incredible and the decor was fun and colorful. The only downside is that due to the very small amount of space it is VERY loud in there which makes it hard to hold a conversation with the people at your table. To me that is a small price to pay for the service and food. Food is 10/10. I highly recommend and as a chef and sometimes critical eater that is saying something. It's a bit of a wait, even on a Monday morning. Because it is a unique place that has yummy food. Very quaint. Exceptionally friendly staff that perfectly fit the atmosphere. It was worth the wait, & the wait was even shorter than we expected. Excellent everything!! I can quite honestly say that it was the best brunch I have had in Portland Maine, and really pretty much ever. The atmosphere was great, and the service was perfect and friendly. And the food was excellent in every respect! Each individual item was delicious on its own and put together it was amazing. I had one of the specials, which was a zucchini fritter topped with a poached egg and hollandaise and sauteed mushrooms. It was velvety and rich and delicious, and it was absolutely wonderful with a side of grits. SO GOOD. Amazing food and fast and friendly service. Do not miss out on this gem. We just left and after a lot of really good food but some so so service experiences in Portland this one was a standout. Our server was so bright and friendly, she was incredibly attentive and everything came out so quick. We brought our dog to the downstairs patio and love their one dog at a time rule, and the patio is more or less enclosed so it was nice and cozy (heated!) on a brisk fall morning. And they brought her some water too. I had the mother clucker which will put you to sleep in the best of ways and my husband had the fried green tomato Benedict which was .
