We have cultivated a number of establishments that bring us a great joy, Harvest on Main is definitely one of them. Our favorite appetizer is the smoked salmon and trout dip. A rustic restaurant serving great burgers, hot sandwiches, soups, salads, and seafood. The decor is comfortable and inviting. The food is fantastic. The blackened trout was amazing. This is one of the best placest to grab a sit down bite in Blue Ridge. It's on main street, smack dub in the middle of downtown. Parking is close nearby and the restaurant stays busy, even on a Monday at 8pm. It's definitely pricey (most entrees go for over $21) but good quality. Last night my rainbow trout was a little dry but I did enjoy all the pickled garnishes and mash that was included. I would note that they didn't mention that the mash would be sweet potatoes, otherwise I would've chosen differently. Nevertheless, it was a great meal. This place is a gem!! Me and my husband were on an anniversary vacation and happened upon this place in downtown. The service, beginning to end was fantastic. Food was over the top delicious. I even asked for a recipe the second night we went. Yes, I said second night. We just had to have more! I just can't say enough good things about this quaint restaurant. Kudos to the staff, and chef! My husband and I went here for our 10 year an anniversary and unfortunately the dinner was not edible. I ordered the duck it came out cold and it had more duck fat then duck. My husband had the shrimp and grits and it had barely any flavor. We asked for the check and waiter noticed we did not eat any of our meal they wanted to give us a Key lime pie to go. But again we were disappointed the key lime pie was smothered in caramel sauce and the key lime flavor was missing. This is not a key lime pie. We ended up go to another restaurant to eat.
