Delicious food! Their mushroom bisque is outstanding. Also had the breaded chicken breast with mozzarella and red peppers. The mozzarella was so smooth and mellow. Very fair prices great portions and in and out quickly at lunch time. Highly recommended! Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Great ambience, stellar eats, and good service. Was seated quickly and immediately served an awesome cup of coffee. Have had multiple breakfast and lunch items and they are always delicious and timely. The big windows and cozy interior make me feel like I’m in a small ski town. Hi, I have been here multiple times in the past, and have never had gratuity added. I told my server I saw that gratuity was added and asked if this was a new rule. He said no that it isn't new, and that it is up to the server. He then said "don't worry, I got you," implying he would remove it for us. When he returned the receipt and my card, I saw he did not remove it and charged with. Considering we were sat at our table for less than half an hour, never checked in on throughout our meal, and were just quickly given the check without it being asked for or if we wanted anything else, I'm having trouble understanding how this is dependent on the server you get. Not to mention the awkward position you put your guests in when service wasn’t great. I would like to return since I do enjoy the food, but is it ultimately a matter of luck when it comes to who my server is and if I'd be charged gratuity without being asked? Met my father here for breakfast. Saturday's we meet up and try new places, and this place is terrific! First, our waitress was so polite, my father can be someone who always has to have a special order item that probably isn't on the menu, he asked for a Red eye, I'm surprised to say with out skipping a beat she knew what it was. I had an an ice coffee and it was delicious. They serve it in those mason jars which I'm becoming a fan of. He ordered something called the health kick (Pesto, Onions, Tomato, and Feta Cheese Scrambled with Egg Whites, Topped with Avocado)He raved about it. I had scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes with a side of bacon. (can't have eggs without the bacon) Eggs were fluffy, the pancakes had huge fresh blueberries in them and they tasted so good. We ended up staying a while longer and had 2 more cups of coffee each while we enjoyed our morning and talked. Needless to say we will be going back there very soon. Sunday morning is no cooking day for me 😀 So we are in search of good restaurants in & around Montville. Found this beautiful place with amazing reviews & awesome ambience & no doubt it was our best decision. Food - Yummilicious, value for money & cost is justified for the quantity & quality both. Service - I just loved their staff, so welcoming, warm, prompt & they make you feel at home. Ambience - They have varied seating with warm colors & little old school vibe. They have ample space, inside & out. Highly recommended place. Thank you for serving some yummy food. Hapgoods is a great brunch spot in Mountain Lakes. The outdoor seating delivers a perfect nature vibe on a cool, autumn morning. The food is delicious! I ate at Hapgoods in June 2023. It is the perfect spot for a reasonably priced, sizeable portion for lunch or breakfast! The menu has many great options, including many vegetarian dishes. We ordered the garden omelet and the vegetable panini. Both were delicious, fresh, and filling. Also, because of the warm weather, Hapgoods has both outdoor and indoor seating! Quaint and lovely place to have brunch, (with a bonus scenic and short drive up to the mountains to get here.) Dine in solo or as a group, this place has a spot for everyone looking for a lovely casual dining experience. Staff is friendly and food is satisfying. I ordered Eggs Benedict, and my friend the classic pancakes with bacon. Good portions for a straightforward hearty meal. Wow what a great place. Loved the food, the outdoor seating, wonderful brunch experience. We went to this place for a Saturday brunch around noon. It was crowded but we got a table right away.
