Came to gyro king for the second time and I am always satisfied. The juice with apple, carrot, orange with delicious. I get the lamb gyro sandwich with everything on it and it’s amazing. Shout to Ms. Thami and Mr Hamid for helping me pick off the menu. Everything is made fresh to go. Nothing special, nothing bad. $15 and change for a healthy sized gyro, fries and a can drink. Not horrible. I think the value proposition is fair. The food tasted fine. Definitely do hot sauce on the side. It wasn’t clean but it wasn’t dirty. All just very neutral. If you want a Gyro, you are not going to lose with the Gyro king if you are passing by. I've been to this place quite a few times and it has been great. However, today during lunch I found this metallic paper coming out of my platter. The service person is careless about hygiene and serving people the right food without contamination. Always come here, using the Doordash app. However tonight I once again encountered the same rude woman I did when I first stopped by this place. I ordered pita bread with my meal but when I got in my car to check my bag it wasn’t there. I hadn’t even left the parking lot yet. Went right back in, rude employee said “Do you have the receipt”,I went back to car to show proof. Then the rude employee gets an attitude with me as if I did something wrong. When she could’ve just said, “Sorry mam, here’s your bread. And the ONLY reason I’m mentioning this is because prior to me getting my order another gentleman wanted to place an order but left because of this employee’s attitude. Just imagine how many other customers she has run off that night. People don’t want to spend money where employees are rude. I’ll just go to elsewhere for my gyro fix. Gyro King is my favorite place when it comes to eating gyro over rice. I ordered the Gyro and Chicken over rice. I usually ask for salad and sauce on the side so I can easily warm it up at home. The taste is always consistent. The decor and ambiance is very modern. I have been to all of their locations in Houston and they all have same great taste. The meat is always juicy and delicious topped over aromatic Basmati Rice. Great selection of Salad Toppings to choose from. I usually get everything on It. The White and Red Sauces taste amazing and indeed tantalize the taste buds. If you are around Jones and 1960 area this is a must try. Will definitely visit again to devour the deliciousness. Just had Sunday lunch here—saw them turn the open sign on 5 minutes early—11:55 am. As soon as we walked in the door, the fragrance of balsmati rice was a pleasant welcome. We picked up a combo rice plate and chicken rice plate. Not comparing any places—this one is completely different. This has a Middle Eastern (without the heat) taste, as opposed to a Mediterranean taste. Both great! The white sauce, to me, here is more like a tartar sauce, as opposed to our other fave. I’d like a tub of it for fish. This place has all the salad sides added—chickpeas, ghiradeli, pickles, black olives, lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Everything was different, but awesome. The serving size is delightful. Fast pick up—in and out in five minutes. Will absolutely be back. My attempt at gluten free continues.

Love, love, loved it! I've been meaning to go there for a while and finally stopped. That was yesterday, ready to go back tomorrow. I had the chicken gyro with both red and white sauce, delicious! They're not skimpy with the portions, just the right amount of veggies to meat ratio, just awesome. Great flavor , not too spicy, perfect. I really do plan on going back again this week. Even if you think you won't like this ' kind of food' ( The reason my husband won't go there ) give the chicken wrap a try. You won't regret it. I JUST love Gyro King for my late night eats. Being a food blogger in houston, (@mrhalawa) this place has become a go to location for me. I always get the gyro over salad, or gyro fries. The juices are so fresh they just make my insides tingle. Friendly staff, super professional. This new location is so cute and inspires me to eat healthy and live healthy. I feel like a new human.
