The place is clean. Menu is huge and reminds me of a cracker barrel with so many options. Unfortunately, food was very bland, grits were cold, and everything else was mildly warm. Our waitress never refilled our drinks. We waited over half an hour for food to get to our table after ordering. They were not busy, so I'm not sure if that's the norm here or not. Okayyyy gotta give a HUGE SHOUTOUT TO ELI!!!!!! She was our amazing server and went above and beyond for my kids and myself!!! I immediately ordered a mimosa (btw the fresh squeezed orange juice made me feel like I was on a beach somewhere kid free and tanning, but that’s beside the point) bc as a single mother of 3 it was much needed and my kids happily skipped to the outside games to help occupy them while they waited for their meals to arrive!! Ordered their drinks and bam 💥 before I could pop that menu open Eli popped up with a beautiful smile and already had our drinks on the table!! Talk about speedy service!! She need to come to my house and teach my kids how to get things done!! Eli was also so efficient and knew the menu very well and recommended the specials which were phenomenal 🎉 She was really funny and had my kids happy and giggling the whole time, which is super rare when we go out!! Overall we had an exceptional experience with Eli. Her dedication and attitude towards her work definitely shines and she should be recognized for her talent and skill!!!! All I can say is WOW! First time at Grumpys and despite it looking busy, the restaurant was clean and customer service was quick, friendly and over the top! The food was delicious (Philly steak omelette) and very fulfilling and had enough to bring home! Special thanks to our AMAZING server ELI!! Who made our experience delightful, and was quick to make sure we were taken care! Man this place is insane! They got the best food and staff out here. My server Eli who was super friendly, quick , and helpful esp for someone who’s never been there before let’s just say she did not fail me! I recommend anyone who is new to this place to order the crab cake Benedict because when I tell you that was the best thing I have ever tried it most definitely was. I will definitely be coming back.
