Lovely welcome, super relaxed and friendly staff, love the decor and the gentle background music. Huge place but doesn't feel like that. Had the home made chips with pulled chicken and peanut sauce, great for a snack or in between, and very good value for money. Good portion! The slow tea sachet was really tasty, and with some lemon and sugar made an excellent hot drink for this cold weather. Am having a great time in Hoogeveen despite the cold and the weather, spending a morning or afternoon here is easily done. Nice variety of shopping and a great small market. Nice one Hoogeveen, and great job Grand Cafe Marron, I'll be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Edited: After 3 weeks I came back and eat an Omlet Parisienne. Was very delicious 30 Sept: The Restaurant is beautiful inside and outside on the terrace as well. Its a perfect place to sit for a drink in the center of the town. The waitress was super friendly, and as I didnt know what to order for eat, she did recommend me the Pulled Chicken which was very delicious. The little avocado salad was tasty as well. I just enjoyed beeing there on a Friday morning, eating and drinking a cold Paulaner Weissbier. I would recommend this Restaurant to everyone. This place is beginning to grow on me. Nice place for a drink with friends. Good atmosphere, service also good. Don't know about the food.
