We enjoyed our meal at the Grand Valley Inn. The food was delicious! The portions were perfect and felt worth the value. The food was definitely worth it. Our server was very good. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but she was attentive without being intrusive. She always made sure our beverages were full and did a great job. Now my only negative and I run the risk of sounding like a prude. But this is important in my opinion. This is our first time here in quite a while. Does the Grand Valley Inn really want the very first impression to be a hostess (or manager or owner I’m not sure) wearing a shirt with a prominent swear word on it?? I thought the Grand Valley Inn had a certain level of atmosphere and class wanted but I do not see the appropriateness of this. There are many who find this objectionable and do not want to see this obscenity every time this person walks by our table. I did not say anything because quite frankly I wasn’t sure if this lady was a manager/owner or not and I wasn’t sure of what kind of response I would get and wasn’t looking for trouble. Again, the food and service was great! No complaints and very high quality. But the atmosphere is hurt by things like that shirt, unless that’s what the Grand Valley Inn is now going for.
