Has been 5 years since my last visit to Golden Cora and the quality of the hot food has definitely dropped. Guess they are trying to keep their costs down. Found the meat loaf to be particularly disgusting. A few other offerings were not much better and obviously the cheapest they could buy. Salad bar was okay, but noted the absence of some toppings that they used to have and the selections of salad dressings seemed to be more limited. . The only reason they got three stars was because of our excellent server. Said she had been working there for 28 years. This place is a great place to sit down with family and friends while trying a plethora of food. They keep things hot and fresh. Some people that work there are very attentive to customers and others are not. When you first walk in line to pay, there are bright lights pointed right in the customer's faces, literally blinding them! When I mentioned it to the cashier and asked her if she would get someone to change the direction, I had to repeat myself 3x in order to receive a response from her, which was only, "well everyone isn't complaining, so probably not!" Seriously! I suggested asking each person and I guarantee you they'd agree. Sometimes I've been there to where we've had to wait for 10 minutes or so for items to be replenished, but not today. Most people were on their game. Several times there was lots of food dropped on the floor, and several employees walked right by it. Everyone should take pride in the cleanliness of the restaurant. We had a kind, friendly, respectful waiter. That's a hit or miss there, as I don't think there is enough staff some days. Today was a great day. I eat at this location twice a week. I love the staff and food is top quality. However every time I go recently they have no mushrooms for my steak, my wife goes for crab salad it's never there. Dessert bar is never stocked... I'm not going there for a month then let's see if problems are fixed.

The current management did a great job of raising the overall level of this golden corral. Compared to last year this golden corral got much cleaner, better food quality and selection compared to other golden corral locations. Also good selection of healthy options and also decent options for vegetarians. Definitely the best location within 100 miles, and we tried most of them around with our family. Best golden corral our family has been to in a very long time. All of the food was delicious, hot and fresh. The fried fish was spectacular. They have the dining areas decorated for the fall and Christmas holidays, it is beautiful. They have a fire place, and the whole dining area is very cozy and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. 5/5 stars. Our service was wonderful, no complaints at all.
