I went to have a margarita, it's national margarita day. To sit next to an unhappy person. I'm being nice. For him to have him tell me that a heart beats matter than a woman. This was a loud conversation and I'm sure it wasn't comfortable for any one else around. But I wasn't going to back down. No one did anything. And management said there is nothing that can be done unless I complained in the moment of the situation. I'm disappointed in this reaction. I have worked in restaurant industry and I would never allow this and would tell my staff to call me if this occurs on the floor. I'm sorry Gloria's you need to do better in these kinds of situations. You have women working in your establishment and they need to know that is not acceptable. If your customers don't matter then that is a reflection of how you treat your staff. I wish you nothing but the best in business and I only hope that this is a learning situation. Everything was great but I hate it when waiters ask if you are done and take your plate away. Everyone does not like to waste food and it's not very comfortable to say let me eat everything on my plate. The other day I was dining at the cheesecake factory and there they did not have to rush to take away the plate and they did cleanup once we left the table. I did some google what is the right way and noticed this article .. it might be good to have a look of it and train staffs accordingly It wont let me post the link here but if you google this . you can read good article from Food Network -- "Does It Bother You When Restaurants Quickly Clear Your Plates?" Whenever I'm in town I have to hit Gloria's if I have time. The bean dip, the queso, the salsa, perfect start to a meal. My favorite dish is the Pollo con Champinones, it is so good. Even after being gone for a year then coming back it still hits. My husband had the enchiladas, not pictured as I forgot to get one before he destroyed his plate and my daughter had the pupusas. The service is always great and the atmosphere is nice, it does get loud as the tables are fairly close together but all in all just delicious food. If you haven't been don't sleep on this spot and if haven't tried it, get the Pollo con Champinones, you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed this place out seating is beautiful. The atmosphere is phenomenal. . I liked the complementary nacho and salsa. However, our orders could be better. I also liked that they have non alcohol options for drinks. Overall the place is beautiful and I would like to give it another try.
