Definitely worth the drive. When the "H" bakery went corporate it lost something, the Gingerbread replaced it. The iconic white frosting is ridiculously good. Utica's legendary half moons are still small batch made by the Gingerbread Bake shop!

Don’t waste your time here. Recently, my wife placed an order for a cheesecake for my birthday and the business failed to have it ready. My wife did her part by calling a week in advance, and everything was confirmed for a Saturday morning pick up. When she went to pick it up, their were 2 younger workers there. She gave the info for the order and the cashier went into the back to check for the cake. After a few seconds, my wife hears them laughing back there and then the worker came back up front and literally says “There was some confusion, and the cake wasn’t made. We can make it now if you’d like but it won’t be ready until the afternoon.” Nothing else. Now, we get that mistakes happen, but what annoyed us most was that the worker couldn’t even offer an apology. With what happened, the business should have given an apology and a discount on the cake! Neither were offered! We took our business to Purple Cow Cheesecake Factory in Utica and are happy we did.

Went this morning for "fresh" baked goods. Well they weren't fresh at all and a bit stale. Last visit for me. They used to be really good I don't know what happened. Limited offerings and not so good anymore.

We had a fantastic cake this evening at Valentino’s Banquet Hall it was fabulous and so moist and delicious, def use them ,they are just amazing to work with also ❤️

Gingerbread bake shop is the best bakery in Oneida County. They have the best cakes, icing, and half moons. We connected with Jaime to get a cake baked for our wedding. It came out beautiful! We went with layers of raspberry and lemon cake with raspberry cream and buttercream icing. It was absolutely delicious. They don’t use artificial coloring which is a plus! I HIGHLY recommend Gingerbread Bake Shop for all baked goods and beautiful wedding cakes.
