Outstanding food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Everything I have tried is delicious but I love the Lahmacun pie the most, a super thin bread, pizza like size, topped with meat and delicious spices and fresh veggies is to die for. Yum. My first time at Galata, and my first time experiencing Turkish food. They definitely know how to provide great service and great food. The atmosphere is also just as great! How is it that in 2024, business owners/managers lack the basic customer service skills? I invited my friend over for dinner at this location whom was in town Saturday, we sat right by the door which had a long speaker cord extending outside that prevented the door from closing. The weather was freezing outside, which made our experience absolutely terrible. Despite complaining to staff to lock this side door multiple times due to the cold, they refused to do so and offered us free tea instead. My friend spent the entire hour getting up and forcing the door to close over the cord just so we can avoid freezing. We spent 75 dollars for a terrible experience overall and they expect us to be happy with free tea instead of resolving the main issue and simply locking the side door.
