Great breakfast place! I go to Pittsburgh on occasion to visit family and this is a place I enjoy stopping at for breakfast, as my relatives in the area turned me on to it. The food is delicious. I enjoy the eggs annd breakfast meats, but they have sweeter things for those who have a sweet tooth. The service is top-notch. The atmosphere is typical of a breakfast diner. During my last visit, the servers did a wonderful job working with a picky guest at the next table who brought in his own diet caffeine-free soda and sent his food back several times due to it not being perfect. They also tolerated his companion, who talked on and on and on about several recent vacations she went on recently and how her son is in a band in another state, among several other topics. Stopped in for the first time and did a to go order 2 bacon cheeseburgers with cheese fries and onion rings and omg was it good. Huge portions and great quality! Staff was so nice and friendly. Went here for the first time for breakfast a few days ago, the french toast was very good, was not a fan of the half uncooked bacon nor home fries though. The food took 50-55 minutes to come out, which the waiter explained it is because they work off a griddle the size of the table so make sure you come before you are starving. I felt very uncomfy the entire time due to the place being extremely small inside, literally everybody is bumping into your arm as they pass you while you are sitting at your table, would think it would be a huge fire hazard since you literally cannot move inside! The food here is great but if you come during busy hours, it’s an unorganized mess. There’s no check in or list to go on. You have to “wait in a line” which is all by a honor system on who comes first and what not. For a place that gets as busy as they do, I won’t return unless it’s during an off hour or if they do what most normal restaurants do and take names. There’s a few morning places that do a first come first serve but there’s usually a dedicated line and a sign. There’s nothing at Gab & Eat. You either know or have to ask. Try their breakfast sandwiches, they’re amazing.

You cannot go wrong w Gab & Eat. This place excels at every aspect on the breakfast menu. The sandwich was perfect and the mixed grill was delicious too. Even their pancakes are very good for being just plain. Highly recommend this place!

The french toast is a major win!!!! Corned beef hash special was delicious!!!! Breakfast bagle is well worth the money!!!!!I am a big fan of the grilled toast !!!!!!! The wait staff is very friendly & efficient!!!!!!!!!!!!
