I've been here twice. Once for lunch, which was surprisingly pleasant. Only complaint is turnips in my dish were undercooked. My Sunday "surprise meal" was flavorless . I was served risotto with potatoes 🤢 A meal of two starches after a plate of 🍞 . It's hard to believe there wasn't something with a bit of color in the kitchen. Well preserved fort along the Dutch Waterline. Nice space to spend a couple of hours, visiting the fort and its exhibitions (paid) or just having a coffee outside. Nearby easy parking.

A great solution for a rainy day. And when your lucky ther is a glass exposition of the glass museum of Leerdam.

Nice piece of 2nd world war history. Take a guided tour if you can, otherwise you won't know what you're looking at.
