When they heard it was our first time here, they brought us a complimentary sample plate filled with different soups and an appetizer. I appreciated this so much! I had never tried fried oysters before, so getting to try something new for no additional cost was awesome. The food was spectacular, the portion sizes were enormous, and the staff was very accommodating. We will definitely be returning! First and foremost, the service was fantastic. KJ took fantastic care of us! He was thoughtful and even ordered us up a little taster of soups that were available. The oyster nacho was included with the soups and a great surprise. ( likely wouldn't have thought to order otherwise). The sampler was solid. The queso was very balanced and had nice chunks of seafood in it. The calamari was tender but crispy. We ordered the blackened red fish and the tortilla crusted rainbow trout. I preferred the red fish, and my wife preferred the trout, which worked out perfectly. I'm looking forward to returning. Keep up the great work! Thanks again for a phenomfirst-time time experience. We chose this place after looking at pictures and reading menu items. When we walked in, I was excited. Great nautical theme without being cheesy. Smelled like seafood, but without the stink. We had an awesome and attentive server named Trip. He was very knowledgeable with menu items. Also, as first time guests, we were treated with a sampler plate to try different menu items before we ordered. There is so much I could say about this place. This has been a long time go to for family get together for us. The food is good here. There is a nice variety of seafood dishes. They have live crawfish by the pound for a reasonable price when they are in season during the spring. They always have off menu specials on their board. You can view the specials online. They seamed to have changed their catfish recipe. It isn’t as good as it used to be. I suggest trying the jalapeño soup. It is delicious and not spicy like you would expect. Good service, atmosphere, and food. The peel & eat shrimp were cold, firm, and fresh, and the cocktail sauce had the perfect amount of horseradish. The rice and slaw were great, along with the blackened catfish. I would rate this among one of the top meals I have had. I'm not kidding, from the appetizers to dessert was perfect for all 5 of us in our party. The waiter started with a welcome plate of 4 different soups and an Oster appetizer sample. This was because it was our first time there and it was complimentary. The wait staff (Lance I think) was awesome. He also had tons of support staff helping deliver the orders. I had the scallops and shrimp with sides of grits and red beans and rice. Just an absolutely delicious meal. Flavor and temperature were perfect. Key lime pie as dessert. Very smooth and a perfect cool blend of sweet. I so wish we had one of these restaurants in Indiana. In town for an event and our group of 5 decided to try Fish City Grill. This was probably one of the best all around restaurant experiences I’ve had in a VERY long time. Phenomenal. Our service- and server - Lance- was exceptional & had a very genuine friendliness. The food? Plate licking good. Simply delicious. Fish City Grill is now on our list of favorites! Service was awesome. Food came out quick. We always recommend a bowl of their clam chowder. All the sides were a little cold as if they were done while the salmon was finishing cooking.
